Fugitives, Dubai Parties, and Your Tax Dollars: The Political Corruption Story Nobody Else Will Touch
Let Me Be Straight With You
I stopped voting for the lesser of two evils. Done. Finished. If both choices are evil, picking the smaller evil still means you voted for evil. I am not doing it. And before the emails start flooding in, understand this is not about team loyalty. It is about having a conscience, which is something in increasingly short supply in American politics.
The media will tell you there is going to be a blue wave or a red wave. They have no idea. Remember the great red wave of 2022? The one that was going to be a historic wipeout? It barely moved the needle. Traders on Wall Street cannot even position accurately around elections because the polling and the predictions are that unreliable. Stop letting these people influence your financial decisions.
The Story Everyone Else Is Ignoring
The Wall Street Journal dropped a story this week that should be front page news on every outlet in the country. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was caught on video partying in Dubai. With fugitives. Actual fugitives from the United States. And not just any fugitives. People facing federal healthcare fraud charges tied to over $160 million stolen from taxpayers.
The same kind of fraud that had everyone rightfully furious when it happened in Minnesota.
Those fugitives donated $190,000 to Paxton. And there he is on video with them overseas.
I am one of the only people reporting on this. Ask yourself why.
The Partisan Loyalty Trap
Here is what drives me absolutely crazy. I report this story and I will get angry messages because it hurts someone’s preferred team. Those same people were cheering when similar corruption stories hit the other party. This is exactly how the system keeps you powerless:
- Partisan loyalty overrides accountability every single time
- The media only covers corruption when it benefits their preferred narrative
- Taxpayer money funds the fraud regardless of which party’s official is cashing the checks
- Your outrage is being selectively managed to keep you distracted
This Is a Financial Story, Not Just a Political One
I need you to connect these dots. When $160 million gets stolen from federal healthcare programs, that money comes out of systems funded by your taxes. When the official whose job it is to prosecute that fraud is accepting money from the people committing it and vacationing with them abroad, the protection you think you have does not exist.
This is exactly what I spent my career on Wall Street watching. The people who are supposed to be the watchdogs are on the payroll of the wolves. It happens in finance. It happens in politics. It is the same game with different uniforms.
I am going to keep reporting these stories regardless of which side they embarrass. That is the job. That is the whole point. The truth does not care about your team, and neither do I.
