Peace Deal or Political Gamble?
(00:00.386)
Deal or no deal. I listen, I’m a kind of superstitious. I mean, with some things. I I I’m I’m throwing back and forth or bat back and forth in my mind whether or not I should even cover this story today because I don’t want to jinx it. Iran and the United States have agreed on what they’re calling an interim peace deal. This was announced on Sunday.
So we’ve had four months of fighting. We’ve got you know various different economic issues that have affected our nation but the world at large. Trump and Pakistani negotiators are saying that well, I guess it is the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened. Reopened, indicating
Basically, well, Trump put this out in a social media post that the time was needed for purposes for mine removal. This is gonna supposedly the strait’s supposed to open on Friday. okay. Following intensive talks, we’re pleased to announce that the peace deal between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been reached, all caps.
Basically, both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts. Tehran confirmed. again, almost came apart because of some of the issues with Israel and Lebanon. but I I’m trying to figure out where we’re at.
Who’s getting what? It’s still it’s it’s quite blurry. basically, we are agreeing to negotiate that that’s from what I again correct me if I’m wrong. Okay, you kind of go through this at this point in time. 60 day period of negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. Okay. Again, I want to go.
(02:22.734)
Back in time. It was a nuclear program that we supposedly obliterated a year ago. But whatever it may be, I’m gonna, you know what? And for purposes right now, I’ll say we’ll give the administration the benefit of the doubt. And we didn’t obliterate it. We thought we were gonna obliterate it, but you know, we’re this close to getting a new guy. We can go on and on and on and on here with this thing. We’ll put that aside. but
We don’t know at this point in time. We’re gonna negotiate parts of this. I again from what I’m seeing, we are going to release billions of dollars, twenty-five billion dollars in I guess it’s their money in the first place. It’s assets that were frozen.
The deal includes an agreement from Iran not to obtain nuclear weapons. That’s what that’s what Trump said. he said that there was no urgency to extract nuclear material from Iran, saying that could come later. I’m giving you what they’re saying.
Okay, because I know I’m gonna, Markowski, you know, you’re you’re always anti Trump. No, I’m not. I’m I’m just telling you what they’re saying. he’s we’ll get the nuclear dust later on when we’re ready to go in and do it. I’d say over the next month or two there’s no rush. He called it harmless.
Again, I I’m telling you this, if this doesn’t raise questions in your head, I I’m sorry. he said he was not. Trump said he was also not wasn’t as concerned about changing Iran’s regime as some of his critics. he said, as far as regime change, I never cared about regime change. This is the third group we’ve dealt with, and this is the most rational group yet. he said there would be strong.

inspections but did not specify how that would work.
I don’t know. He aga again said there wouldn’t be provided cash. Iran says there would be provided cash.
Again, I I at this point in time, people, that’s that’s where we’re at. I I I you wanna look into it, go ahead. I’m just giving to you what has been put out there. And again, I’m sorry. I’m just I’m throwing this out there, begs the question. Why we do this?
(05:13.986)
Why do do this? Because there’s gonna be, you know, there’s gonna be calls part of this negotiation. It’s gonna you know billions and billions of dollars to rebuild a lot of the the infrastructure. again, that’s gonna open up who gets those contracts, how is this being done? you know what? At this point in time, take that and put that aside. you call off you know, a global recession, possible depression, that’s a good thing.
God willing, maybe we’ll learn from this. Who knows? Watchdog on wallstreet.com.
