Is Britain Running Out of Time?
(00:00.494)
Here’s Starmer. He’s gone. Prime Minister, living on a thin line. Yeah, you know that song by the Kinks, Living on a Thin Line? There’s no England now? There hasn’t been for some time. we did a did a podcast last week on the rape gang scandal in England that makes again, makes the Epstein files look tame. we’ve talked about talked about the you know the their lack of
Free speech in that country, you know, showing up at people’s homes because of posts that they’re making online on social media. the mass exodus of wealth in that country, changing their tax laws and everyone saying, okay, we’re out of here. I mean, hundreds of years of tax laws. You take a look, yeah, you should take a look.
Various different reasons why Starmutter designed what’s this is what they got a six or six out of seven years. They got a new prime minister. Again, he’s going to resign and they’re going replace him with another labor leader. There was local elections that didn’t go the way labor wanted. the left-of-center party, they lost 1,500 council seats. they lost control over 25 authorities. Nigel.
Francis Reform UK i is doing well. I
I was hoping, I’m being honest. I I remember I got invited. I got invited that day when the UK decided to leave the European Union. Brexit. And I thought it was a thought it was a smart choice. I did. I thought it was a wise choice. the reason behind it, reason why people were pushing for it, was because, you know, they said, hey, you know what?
(02:01.044)
again, they they didn’t even participate in the the currency, the euro. So, you know, we’re making they remember the commercials, they were making fun of all the European rules and regulations and all the things they had to deal with, and they were gonna change their ways and they were going to become a a more competitive economy. They did the exact opposite.
They did the exact opposite, you know, kind of running into the same problem that we have here in the United States. You know, you got one buffoon leader after another. You take a look at the economic conditions in the UK, very little to no growth. yeah, little bit in chips, but quite frankly, nothing really dynamic there at all. it was actually funny.
It’s actually funny. This past weekend they were talking about how well you got one of the big tennis tournaments coming up. You got Wimbledon, right? And the the fact that there’s used to be there, well there still is tournaments in the UK, basically prep tournaments for Wimbledon, other grass tennis court tournaments, and how most of the tennis players they don’t even go and play in those tournaments anymore. They go and they play elsewhere.
Because of the way that they are going to be taxed and how the UK is handling their taxes. And even if you know the counting the amount of days that they’re in the country, all of these various different things, pushing people away.
You want to fix your economy at at some point in time. You’re gonna have to lower your taxes, you’re gonna have to lower regulation. your little canary wharf thing, the financialization of that country, yeah, okay, you still got that to some degree, but overall, what exactly do you do anymore?
(04:01.9)
It says, you know, what exactly do you do you guys do? What do you build? What do you create in the UK anymore? And I get it, I get the only one. You know, there’s other you know, countries throughout Europe. You can kind of ask that that same question. But like the kinks song said, there’s no England anymore. Some point in time, some point in time, you’re gonna you’re gonna have to fix it. I mean, just go back.
Join the EU again. I mean w you know. Go do y you know, do you get rid of the pound? Do the your I I mean
What what’s exciting? What what do you guys have going on for your future outside of I don’t know, dual lipa?
