AI Spending Surge: Big Tech Goes All In
(00:00.236)
The AI build out full steam ahead. If there was any doubt about what companies are doing, look no further than Google. Google’s stock has gotten pretty beat up over the past week or so with the announcement that they are issuing stock. They’re going out and they’re selling equity. They’re going to raise $80 billion to help with their well, what they’re saying is a backlog.
They need to build more of these data centers. The issue is this 60%, 60% of data center capacity planned for completion in 2027 isn’t even under construction. Another 7% is delayed. again, it’s interesting, they’re raising all of this money, but they can’t.
Really break ground. that you’re taking a look at the type of money that they are raising for these things. And again, now you’re starting to see some pushback. people getting worried. Am I, you know, are these guys putting up data center doing all this stuff that are going to go ahead and take our jobs? And I think you’re going to continue to see a similar type of a situation. Just to put this into perspective, okay.
Microsoft Alphabet Meta Amazon last year devoted four hundred and ten billion dollars to capital expenditures and they’re expected to spend another six hundred and seventy billion this year.
Wow. again. Where’s the energy going to come from? again, some who was the first one to actually I was who was it that did that? That actually pointed they’re gonna fire up actually just got approval with the Three Mile Island. Remember that from the 1970s? That was Microsoft.

Microsoft was with three again, they just got approval on that. They’re gonna restart that. I’m all for that. I’m all for building out nuclear power. They’re also looking to as well striking deals with consumers in certain areas where people helping people to put batteries in their homes to they have bat yeah, actually electrical backup. So and actually paying elect paying consumers out there, paying homeowners.
To do this. So when you know there’s a problem with the grid, whatever, the electricity down that that it would basically they would be take more of the electricity and people would be okay. I’m there, there’s a myriad of different things. I’m still for the whole, you know, eventually we should probably be putting these things in space. Obviously, we’re not we’re close to doing that at this point in time. But as far as the AI build out is concerned, man, full steam ahead. Watchdog on Wall Street.com.
