AXIS OF IGNORANCE
France and Germany have decided that they know much better than the United States in regards to Iraq, war, and weapons of mass destruction. The United Nations feels that they should have supreme power over the United States. Inspector Clouseau (A.K.A. Hans Blix) and his crew continue to amble around a country the size of California in their Scooby Doo Mystery Machine vans waiting for Sadamm to come out and state that “I would have gotten away with it if weren’t for that meddling U.N.” A communist organization with ties to North Korea is teaming up with the limousine liberals in Hollywood and N.Y.C. to offer up more ignorant rhetoric and organize anti-U.S. protests all across the globe. Iraqi spies/agents have made their way through the Canadian border to supply these groups with funds. Ted Kennedy and Barbara Boxer feel we should put Iraq on double secret probation, which has not been used since Dean Werber put it to work against the Delta Fraternity in “Animal House.”
If all of this is beginning to sound like a slapstick movie starring Jerry Lewis, you have qualified for your doctorate in Identifying Liberalism. Congratulations, you now have the task of trying to educate our friends on the left and bring them in from the dark. Plato explains that most human beings live as if in a dim cave. We are chained, he says, and facing a blank wall, with a fire at our backs. All we see are flickering shadows playing across the cave wall, and this we take to be reality. Only if we learn to turn away from the wall and the shadows, and escape from the cave, can we hope to see the true light of reality.” I am amazed daily at the tremendous amount of creativity the left has been using to further their misguided, uninformed ideas and this past month was a humdinger. Their ability to distract people with their “shadow puppets” is uncanny.
WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE…
France and Germany have decided that they are sick and tired of sitting in the back of the bus as far as importance is concerned and they are going to do something about it. In an effort to make some mainstream news they decided to speak out for all the European countries in regards to Iraq. The mainstream press ate this up, with headlines boasting about how our President has no allies, and how the enlightened European position is far superior to our cowboy mentality. Before the liberal ink dried we discovered who our true allies are. In a letter to the Wall Street Journal the countries of Spain, Portugal, England, Poland, Denmark, Hungary, Italy and the Czech Republic came out and rebuked what Donald Rumsfeld appropriately called “Old Europe.”
We in Europe have a relationship with the United States which has stood the test of time. Thanks in large part to American bravery, generosity and farsightedness, Europe was set free from the two forms of tyranny that devastated our continent in the 20th century: Nazism and Communism. Thanks, too, to the continued cooperation between Europe and the United States we have managed to guarantee peace and freedom on our continent. The transatlantic relationship must not become a casualty of the current Iraqi regime’s persistent attempts to threaten world security.
The economies of France and Germany are in disarray. German unemployment is now at 11%. The only reason Gerhardt Schroeder is still running the show is because he stirred up antiAmerican rhetoric during his campaign. One of his cabinet members actually had the audacity to call our President a Nazi. France is currently ranked 30th in the world for countries with business friendly environments. France has strong economic ties with Iraq, which is eerily reminiscent of its ties with Germany in World War II. An article written by Paul Martin in the Washington Times on September 16th, 2002 states that France sold lightly enriched nuclear material to Iraq, enough for a bomb. France is a country that has veto power on the U.N. Security Council, yet if the council were being formed today they wouldn’t be included. Germany and France are countries that are addicted to inflationary money, politically directed central banks, inefficient unprofitable national industries, subsidies, welfare, and high taxes and they wonder why they are becoming more and more irrelevant. France and Germany can best be described as spoiled, jealous, selfish, and ungrateful.
Their complete and utter failure to comprehend how lucky they are and the inability to recognize where their loyalties should lie is abhorrent. American blood has been spilled on European soil time and time again. Just think about the time and money we have spent and continue to spend rebuilding Europe and defending it. To this day Europe still cannot handle problems in its own backyard. Remember the situation in Serbia and Kosovo.
America doesn’t ask for much in return. A little loyalty or a little faith would be a nice change. We are not asking for blind faith. We will listen to your concerns like we always have. We are good listeners. Just make a logical point and it will be heard. By no means are we a perfect nation, we have made mistakes in our past an am quite sure that we will probably make some in the future. However, our heart is always in the right place.
A KANAMIT ADDRESSES THE U.N. IN THE CLASSIC TWILIGHT ZONE EPISODE “TO SERVE MAN.”
The fact is that the evidence against Saddam and his arsenal is extensive. For more than a decade the world has known that Saddam has been involved with terrorism. He funds it, supports it and trains it. Fifty miles from Baghdad there is a large training facility at Salman Pak, terrorists from Hezbollah, Hamas and Al Qaeda. Reconnaissance photos have showed Boeing 707 aircraft fuselage used to train hijackers. That is only one camp. Saddam loves those suicide bombers as well. The families of Palestinian suicide bombers get $25,000. That figure goes up based upon the amount of people killed. We are now learning that Al-Qaeda took chemistry classes at the University of Baghdad. We currently have over 50 countries that are behind us 100%. What in Gods creation do we need France and Germany for?
There was a tremendous political speech given by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in an answer to a reporter’s question at the White House on Thursday January 30th.
“We will never forget that we owe our freedom…our freedom…our wealth to the United States of America. And our democracy. And we also will never forget there have been many American lives that were lost and sacrifice themselves for us. So for us, the United States is not only our friend, but they are the guarantee of our democracy and our freedom. And I already had the opportunity to say this to President Bush. Every time I see the U.S. flag, I don’t see the flag only representative of a country, but I see it as a symbol of democracy and of freedom.”
Forget Paris vacationers. Try Florence, Rome or Venice!
STAR WARS CANTINA
I am going to be brutally honest here. The United Nations should go the way of the scrap heap of useless international organizations. The entire concept has gone the way of an idealistic supreme world government. The new mantra of the United Nations is containment of the United States and distribution of its wealth. Lenin and Marx would be so proud.
I was listening to Rush Limbaugh back in September when he talked about an old episode of the Twilight Zone entitled “To Serve Man.” In that episode, these “Kanamit” aliens with giant heads land on earth and the United Nations are all for loving them and against the military investigating whether they’re a threat. The Kanamits leave behind a book titled “To Serve Man,” and they think it is their secrets of peace, tranquility, prosperity and leftist idealistic nonsense. The irony of the story? “To Serve Man” was actually a cookbook for preparing humans as meals! That’s how the UN was sucked in on the Twilight Zone, and that’s just how it has been sucked in by Saddam Hussein. This is an organization that’s put Syria, Libya and China and all these other dictatorships on their human rights council! Iraq is the next president of the U.N. commission on weapons proliferation.
The United Nations does not shun dictators and oppressors, they embrace them. On the Statue of Liberty it states “Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” The United Nations should have a Statue of Oppression reading, “We welcome the wicked, the evil, the tyrannical and all those who hate the United States and what they stand for.”
Most of the countries in the U.N. are not democracies. They hate the United States because we have gotten it right. Never has their been a country, empire or kingdom that has accumulated so much wealth and spread it so evenly to its citizens. There has never been a place that has welcomed and continues to receive so many. There has never been a military power as strong and a people who wield it not to conquer, but to protect. How many countries on this planet have Mosques, Churches and Synagogues existing on the same street in harmony? Imagine if any world power throughout history possessed what we have, how would they have used it. Whether it be Constantine, the Ottomans, Khan, Mao, Charlemagne or the Kings and Queens of England, Spain, France or any other it would have been an oppressive nightmare.
When I drive by the United Nations along the east side of Manhattan and see the flags flying from North Korea, Syria, Iraq, and many others I get nausea. Why are we part of an organization where many of its members celebrate our failures and loathe our successes? Why are tax dollars wasted on this nonsense? I am not a fan of Donald Trump or Leona Helmsley, however, I would love to see the U.N. move to Switzerland or Zaire or North Korea and see the development of some prime east side real estate. President Bush stated in the State of the Union address, “America’s purpose is more than to follow a process; it is to achieve a result.” To the lefty elitists in the U.N. that concept is sacrilege. The U.N. is collection of two bit countries that give credibility and a voice to the world’s most hideous tyrants and dictators. If one believes that an organization is strong as its weakest link, then the U.N. resonates to the North Korea, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Iraq. If you were starting a world organization that is supposed to help resolve world problems, why would you invite all the troublemakers of the world?
INSPECTOR CLOUSSEAU VISITS BAGHDAD
Does anyone with half a brain actually think that the inspectors in Iraq are going to yield anything? The job description of U.N. weapons inspectors is not to play detective and find them. Inspectors are there to verify that weapons have been destroyed. Countries that have disarmed in the past such as South Africa, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan have offered their arsenals up to inspectors and the world. Inspectors are there to oversee the safe removal and destruction of weapons, not to play a most dangerous game of hide and seek. One argument I have been hearing from the left is how is Iraq supposed to prove a negative. In other words how does Saddam prove that he does not have something?
Do people on the left actually think that when you want to rid yourself of chemical and biological weapons you just put them out with the trash? How stupid! If Iraq has gotten rid of its weapons there would be evidence. I interviewed Bill Tierney a former U. N. weapons inspector who has stated point blank that Iraq has chemical, biological and worse yet nukes. What was most interesting from my conversation with Mr. Tierney was how well he articulated the various methods Saddam uses to deceive. U.N. weapons inspectors are in a no-win situation and the whole situation is a great waste of time. Time wasted when it comes to weapons of mass destruction is a very dangerous game.
HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD
Anyone who has watched the anti-U.S. protests over the past couple of months has most certainly gotten a laugh or two. Martin Sheen from the “West Wing” thinks he really is the President. Actress Janeane Garofalo wants to let us know that “now that I am sober, I watch a lot of news.” The material girl Madonna is making an anti-U.S. video. Susan Sarandon and George Clooney are starting to turn themselves into clichés. I would like to thank God for the valiant brigade of really dumb pseudo-intellectual celebrities. They have done a great job doing what they should be doing, entertaining us. They should start a new show on PBS entitled “Liberal Mind Theater.” I predict a Golden Globe for best new fictional comedy.
One popular argument by the Hollywood lefties relates to how we as a nation are perceived by the world. Public opinion polls and surveys taken all over the globe have a consistent theme labeling Americans as “haughty,” “aggressive,” “violent,” “opinionated” and for lack of a better term “slutty.” The resident comrades in Hollywood usually like to attribute this to our foreign policy. In a Wall Street Journal editorial this past month there was a report by Boston University communication professors Melvin and Margaret DeFleur. The study entitled “The Next Generation’s Image of Americans” keeps Hollywood’s impressive streak of bountiful ignorance intact.
In their study, the professors surveyed 1,259 teenagers from 12 countries about their attitudes about Americans. Interestingly enough, few of the individuals surveyed had any direct interaction with Americans. In fact, only 12% had actually visited the United States. However, what they did have access to was Hollywood. American television programs, movies, our pop culture, our music was readily available for all to consume. The study found that the more access countries had to Hollywood and our limousine liberals the greater their negative attitudes toward Americans were. Remember this, the next time you see Susan Sarandon, George Clooney, Richard Gere or any of the other kooks open their big mouths. Thanks again, Hollywood for making us look like a bunch of idiots.
GREETINGS COMRADES
A little known tidbit about the anti-U.S. left is their communist ideology. The group in charge of all the anti-U.S. protests is called International ANSWER, which stands for Act Now to Stop War and Racism. ANSWER is a part of a group called the International Action Center, an organization that trumpets the work of Ramsey Clark. For those who are not familiar with this low-life, he is a Johnson administration attorney general who now spends his time defending dictators and other tyrants. He is a leader in the anti-U.S. movement. Both of these organizations are tied to a Marxist-Leninist organization known as the Workers World Party.
The W.W.P. has a glowing resume. The have supported the Soviet interventions in Hungary and Czechoslovakia, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and the Chinese crackdown at Tiananmen Square. Today the W.W.P. spends most of its time bashing the United States and supporting the regimes in Iraq and North Korea.
RELAX!!! RELAX!!! THIS ISN’T A WEAPONS FACILITY…. THIS IS A NEW SITE FOR THE IRAQI DISNEY WORLD.
Byron York from National Review describes the rhetoric used at the anti-U.S. rally in Washington D.C.
At the demonstration which many media reports portrayed as a gathering of mainstream Americans, speaker after speaker condemned the United states with ancient Communist rhetoric: “revolution,” “struggle’” “oppressed peoples,” “imperialism,” and “liberation.” One protester even addressed her fellow protesters as “comrades.” Given the impressive strength of the publicaddress system, it felt like a literal blast from the past. And if the subject had not been so serious, it might have seemed almost quaint. But the demonstration’s organizers, perhaps unwittingly, made a very serious point: More than a decade after the fall of the Soviet Union and long after most Americans stopped worrying about the Red Menace; a significant part of the movement that has risen up in opposition to war in Iraq is, in essence, a Communist front.
One of the head honchos of the W.W.P., who is quite popular in liberal circles from New York to Hollywood, is Brian Becker. Becker is the secretariat of the W.W.P. and is the “house intellectual.” Becker’s resume is very impressive indeed. In December 2000, in his address to the W.W.P. conference in New York, Becker began by discussing issues raised by “comrades” who had recently been to Cuba and then launched into a detailed and impassioned analysis of Marxism and revolution. Becker stressed that the W.W.P. had “supported the Soviet Union against imperialism and domestic counter-revolution.” He praised the Soviets for having “sent invaluable aid to Vietnam, Cuba, the African National Congress in South Africa, and other national-liberation movements.” He railed against “U.S. imperialism.” And he concluded: “We know that the biggest single contribution that we can make to the final transition to socialism everywhere is to build a truly revolutionary party that can lead the struggle to overthrow imperialism at its center.”
This man is a hero to the Hollywood/New York left. This guy sips chardonnay with Barbara Streisand, Susan Sarandon, Ed Asner and the rest of their like. My suggestion is this. Go. Go now. Move to Cuba, North Korea, make movies there. I dare you. Adios “comrades.”
SHOW ME THE MONEY SADDAM
Since our “comrades” at the Workers World Party have a difficult time involving themselves in our capitalist system, they need some one to fund them. Well their wish was granted from their “fairy godfather” Saddam. According to the New York Daily News, Iraq sent spies from Canada to New York and Washington to aid anti-U.S. demonstrations. A member of the Iraqi opposition told U.S. agents that Iraqis in Canada were ordered to recruit Arabs and other foreigners for espionage missions in the United States. The Iraqi Embassy in Ottawa sent operatives to New York and Washington with instructions to “intensify spying activities and to carry out anti-U.S. demonstrations to stop a war against Iraq. In the report the Iraqis stated they were willing to spend “large sums of money.”
My question is whether or not Iraqi money funded those anti-U.S. advertisements starring Comrade Sarandon before the State of the Union address. If I accept any money for promoting a product or service on my radio show (which I would never do!) I must disclose it. If not, I am in violation of F.C.C. payola laws. It would seem logical to me if some of the anti-U.S. propaganda that has been stinking up our airwaves had been funded by the Iraq government and has not been disclosed to the audience, we would have reason to shut them down. I thought about contacting Mike Powell at the F.C.C. but later reconsidered. Let these idiots spend Iraqi money. Allow these nuts to expose themselves who they really are. Their uninformed, intellectually dishonest arguments may resonate with France and Germany but makes them look like fools here.
DROPPING THE BALL
I am really dismayed by many of our Democratic leaders in Congress. They are now confirming my worst fears in how they put their party and their own interests ahead of our great country and our own. Why are the Democratic Congressional leaders who rubber-stamped any military action by President Clinton going to bat against President Bush? President Clinton has actually spoken out against Bush in various interviews. This in of itself is unprecedented in its audacity. Speaking out against subsequent administrations is traditionally a no-no. However, we already know how Clinton feels about manners and couth. However, history doesn’t lie and we have dug up some old quotes by Clinton and his Secretary of State Madeline Albright.
February 17, 1998 “Now, let’s imagine the future. What if he, Saddam fails to comply and we fail to act or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction. And someday, some way, I guarantee you, he will use the arsenal.” Bill Clinton
February 19, 1998 “I can honestly tell you that I don’t think that the world has seen, except maybe since Hitler, someone who is quite as evil as Saddam Hussein. …If you don’t stop a horrific dictator before he gets started too far – that he can do untold damage. …If the world had been firmer with Hitler earlier, then chances are that we might not have needed to send Americans to Europe during the Second World War. So, my lesson out of all of this is deal with the problem at the time that you can and don’t step away from it thinking that it’ll go away.” Madeline Albright
In the immoral words of Batman’s side-kick Robin, “Holy Hypocrisy Batman.” Can you believe this nonsense? I could fill 100 newsletters filled with quotes from Ted Kennedy, Tom Daschle, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Clinton Kool-Aid drinkers backing big bad Bill 110%. Now Ted Kennedy wants to block the ability of our Commander and Chief to act. What a bunch of hypocrites. These “congressional leaders” would have great careers on Wall Street, they have no conscience, and they have no shame.
