Χριστός Ανέστη!
(00:01.176)
Christos Anestes, Alephos Anesti. I’m gonna tell everybody a little story here when Markowski’s speaking Greek here on the show. Christ is risen, Christos Anestes, Alephos Anesti, he is risen indeed. This past Sunday, Holy Week, I went to mass with my wife to her Orthodox church. They do a vigil mass at midnight. At midnight, easy.
breaking the fast tradition. But then I went to my church, went to my Catholic mass at seven o’clock in the morning, Easter Sunday. And I’m packed. Wall to wall people, kids, it was great. Anyway, the priest is giving his homily and he’s telling a story. And it kind of hit with me because he, like myself, he’s an outsider, an ex-cerno.
to the Greeks, but his best friend growing up was Greek. five years ago, he’s telling the story, his friend died. And the mom, his friend’s mom was overwhelmingly concerned about him and always stayed in contact with him. They went to school together at the University of Florida. And he telling the story, the same thing that I deal with.
In my household and christ is risen He has risen indeed my mother-in-law, you know, as she picks up the phone right now That’s what she says and say hello says cristo’s honesty anyway, to go along with that they have a neat little tradition that you do it with the eggs They have an egg crack tradition where my mother-in-law dies and they die these eggs bright red
And that’s to symbolize the blood of Jesus and his sacrifice. The egg itself symbolizes the tomb of Christ. And on Easter Sunday, everybody gets their egg and you play like a little egg crack game where you like smack someone’s egg, their hard boiled eggs, obviously. And, you know, if your egg cracks, well, you lose the other one that doesn’t. But anyway, symbolizes the opening of the tomb and.
(02:24.846)
Priest is telling the story to everybody there. again, mass packed. teaches, teaches everybody there. I’m dying laughing, this is my life. Anyway, telling everybody what to do, holds up his phone, holds up his phone and gets the entire congregation to, know, Christos Anestes, know, Alephos Anestes, and sends it to his.
His friend’s mom. was beautiful. It really was. One of those warm and fuzzy stories from church. But anyway, reflecting on that since Sunday and yesterday and the doom scroll stuff, the negativity that I’m constantly.
Constantly hit upside the head with you know and having to follow this and in cover this It’s hard It’s hard And again, I’m gonna relate this I talked about a little bit about this yesterday. I’m gonna pull this in To the president of the United States and I mentioned to it yesterday The guy needs the guy needs our prayers he does I feel sorry for him
I really do. As angry as I’ve been with him, I really do feel sorry for the guy in the sense that, I mean, he is caught up in this cycle of revenge and getting back at people. mean, he’s there. He’s there at the Easter egg roll at the White House and…
He’s making fun of Joe Biden. Yeah, we also saw Joe Biden, you know, bumbling with the the bunny the year before there and you know, how to point that out how to make fun of that and the body not gonna do that to me. I’m like,
(04:34.978)
Joe Biden’s like living rent free in his head. Almost every tweet is a shot at Joe Biden. Joe Biden, and I mentioned this before, I said, you keep picking on this guy. And I said this last year, I’ve been saying it for some time, stop. Stop. mean, you’re picking on an old man who is incapacitated. He doesn’t know.
I said that the greater villain in this one is his wife that allowed him to continue when he had no business being there. So again, you’re picking on an old guy that has been incapacitated and everyone, I’m sure most people out there know, have had, you know, elder family members that have started to go downhill. Did you pick on them?
Did you make fun of them?
(05:32.738)
No, no.
This revenge narrative, it has to end at some point in time. I’ve given the lyrics to a great Coldplay song a couple times here on the show. It’s a song called Death and All His Friends. And the chorus at the end of the song is, I don’t want a battle from beginning to end. I don’t want a cycle of recycled revenge. I don’t want to follow death and all of his friends.
Don’t want to follow death and all his friends this cycled revenge and You’re talking about guys. He’s can you present the United States? You’re the most powerful person in the entire world. Why do you bear? Bear these others mind and I know I you see it all over social media with again all of the MAGA vitriol You know that that takes place out there from all of these influencers that are all caught up
and revenge and making fun of people and tearing them down.
You won!
(06:43.682)
You won, okay? So, you know, got the House, you got the Senate, you got the presidency, you won. So I got an idea. How about stopping the nonsense and getting things done? But no, no, no, no, no. Again, and I get it. I get it. Fox News fuels into this. You turn on all the things that are happening in the world, all the stuff that’s happening in the financial markets. I mean, they got to…
this is what happened at the egg roll. We’re making fun of Biden. I mean, well, again, maybe it’s great for ratings for people that don’t really have high IQ. But is it?
I don’t know, are you doing the right thing with the type of programming you’re putting out there? Is this beneficial? Is this what you really want? Any year, all time, you know, they did it to him and lawfare and all this stuff. Listen, we just got over Easter and this is a guy that, you know, likes to, Donald Trump likes to invoke religion and Jesus and Christianity. But the funny thing is, the funny thing is they love using it.
And they love talking about it all the time. Trump likes to cite all of this stuff, but they pick and choose.
(08:05.89)
They pick and choose. What did, correct me if I’m wrong, what did Jesus say when he was on the cross? He begged for the forgiveness.
of the people that just nailed him to a cross and tortured him.
(08:26.836)
That’s Christianity in a nutshell right there, okay? That’s what it is.
That’s what it is. It’s not Easter eggs, not any of the other stuff. That’s it.
And this is a guy that’s so far, so hell and high water away from that, I can’t even tell you. And that’s what I’m saying. He’s living with this inside him. That’s no good. I’m sorry, okay? You point me a person who is revenge-minded, that harbors grievances.
And you try to find me a happy person that is revenge minded, that doesn’t forgive people and harbors grievances. I dare you, you’re not gonna find a happy one.
You’re not. this stuff, teach this stuff to my kids. I said, you are to be as generous as possible. You should be as forgiving as possible. know, people are gonna do the wrong thing by whatever it may be. You learn from that and you learn who these people are and you gotta be careful from them, but you don’t let it change you.
(09:40.3)
You don’t let it change your nature and who you are and what you are supposed to be.
I think many people, including myself, including myself, thought that there was a shift to some degree in Donald Trump’s mentality, especially after that, the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
And I don’t know, maybe I think I was wrong there. Again, I was never a Donald Trump supporter, even though I voted for him twice. was never my first choice by any stretch of the imagination. But I know right now he is the president of the United States and he most certainly needs guidance.
He most certainly needs guidance. He needs somebody pointing him in the right direction. Because quite frankly, he’s lost right now. I don’t care what the BS artists are telling you on Fox. And he’s a master negotiator. And he’s got this all going on. No, he doesn’t. OK? He doesn’t.
What’s happening right now, what he has been doing again, again, what a massive disappointment across the board. And again, I know that the true believers, the one that think that he is some sort of, you know, some sort of prophet, genius out there, they know exactly the smartest guy going, all right, at some point in time, you have to wake up.
(11:29.966)
And again, I’m really disappointed. Again, you go back to the line by Benjamin Franklin.
to Benjamin Franklin when asked and asked what we got if they’re coming out of the, you know, constitutional conference convention. You know, what do we got? Republic, if you can keep it. Well, let me tell you something.
tell you something, we’re a republic if again, we have a legislature, we have Congress that steps up and does their job. Does their job. This other line, well we voted for Trump, Mr. We voted for, no you didn’t, okay? I never ever, ever, ever would vote for an all powerful, all powerful president. We don’t want.
That’s the last thing in the world you want. You want to destroy this country? Yeah, yeah, yeah, because investing investing in countries that have dictatorships, they work out real well. We have checks and balances for a reason. And sometimes guess what? Things don’t go your way and you can lament that things don’t go your way. But that’s that’s what’s worked for this country. That’s that is what has built wealth up in this country. Faith in our.
Constitutional Republic. We’re not a bloody democracy for crying out loud.
(13:02.146)
We have three separate equal branches of government. the funny thing is, and I ain’t even paying that much attention to this nonsense that’s taking place in El Salvador. It’s a bloody sideshow right now. Yelling and screaming about this Supreme Court justice and that Supreme Court justice. You lost! Move on.
Mo’an, they have to put, making memes and putting tattoos. What is wrong with you? Don’t you people have anything better to do with your time? Something actually productive that you can actually give to this world rather than dividing people?
Do you have anything else better to do with your time? You’re just as bad, okay? You’re just as bad as the blue hairs out there protesting outside a Tesla dealership. You’re just, know, two sides of the same damn coin.
(14:07.81)
You’re RIP on that, but you’re the same thing!
(14:13.102)
Put it away.
Put it away and get yourself a little bit focused on what’s.
The good things about this, we have, yeah, we have a bunch of things, issues we’ve dealt with. Yeah, we had a deal with the border and I think that they’re doing a great job. But again, we still have to have immigration reform. We need to have immigrants coming into this country. We got a lot of things that we’ve got to deal with.
(14:42.348)
But this ripping and tearing apart and these tweets that are going out.
(14:50.734)
What purpose does it serve? To rile the bass up, get the people going?
Well, you know, maybe we shouldn’t worry about getting the people going. Maybe we should worry about trying to bring the country together. Maybe we should stop just throwing out the, maybe we should stop trying to rip on Biden.
Maybe we should put an end to that for crying out loud. Stop ripping on the old man. All right? You’re in charge now. Own it.
(15:31.564)
Own it. And again, like I said, nothing, nothing, nothing we can do. He’s lost his way. Lost his way. I feel bad for the guy. I do, because he’s obviously not a happy human being. Okay. I don’t care what type of persona he’s putting out there. It’s bullshit. Like I said, show me one person with that, that amount of
darkness and the ability to tweet out and to be that nasty. Show me one person that’s actually like that, that you know, that’s actually truly a happy individual. You can’t. It’s not possible.
(16:13.56)
Pray for the guy. That’s all I gotta say. Christos Sinestes, Watchdogonwallstreet.com.
