Senator Josh Hawley, Republican versus the cheap airlines. Again, I’m amazed at what these people in Washington, D.C. do with their time over the course of a day. Now they’re hearing. Now they’re hearing and they decided to parade the CEO of Spirit Airlines and the CEO of Frontier Airlines.
And Josh Hawley, man, he was proud of himself. Again, this was right out of a Bernie Sanders, AOC, Maxine Waters playbook. Yeah, let’s post videos of me ridiculing some CEO at some point in time. mean, again, Elizabeth Warren would be proud of you, Josh. Anyway, Josh is basically pointing out that spirit.
Frontier paid their gate agents $26 million. He says to harass customers whose bags were too big. Yeah, they paid their gate agents a commission. They paid their gate agents a commission for catching bags that are too big. That’s terrible. That’s mean. That’s awful. And he was also talking about
arbitrary fees that they’re charging and the fact that, you know, this is arbitrary and I don’t know.

discount airline. Does it not say, does it not tell you they’re gonna charge for carry-on bags? They’re gonna charge for check bags? It does. there’s a litany of fees that are there. Now, I’m gonna break these airlines down for you. First, I would never, you couldn’t pay me to fly on Spirit. Have you ever seen the videos and the things that take place? You couldn’t pay me.
to get on one of those airlines. I have flown Frontier before. Again, it’s convenient for where I used to live on Long Island. I got a small airport there in Islip and Frontier flew out of there and I have flown them before. It’s no frills. The seats are rinky dink. There’s no TV on the plane. I get that, but the ticket’s not much usually. But anyway, neither here nor there.
If you go into 7-Eleven and you’re looking to get some food, do you buy sushi there? I’m just throwing it out there. better yet. You know what? You book a hotel room and you see that it’s $50 for the night. You’re looking. see a hotel room is $50 a night. What are you expecting out of that hotel room?

Don’t fly the damn airline for crying out loud. All they’re gonna do, I tell you then you people with infinite wisdom in Washington DC, I tell you, get rid of all the bag fees. Get rid of it all. What are they gonna do? They’re just gonna charge more for their tickets. They have to make ends meet somehow. It is what it is.
