Trump’s New Plan Could’ve Come from Bernie Sanders
(00:00.49)
Robin Trump hood. Yeah. This is not, this is not your usual. Well, this is not even the Republican party. This is something again, what Donald Trump is proposing. is something that Elizabeth Warren would propose. This is something that AOC would propose. This is something that Bernie Sanders would propose. Again, I’m reading this stuff and
We did a podcast talking to you about how they wanted to start taxing people’s ideas and changing what the fees are at the patent office, almost treating an idea like a property that they could put a property tax on. Well, we’ll see you that and we’re gonna take you one further. Robin Trump hood. And again, it’s not fair to Robin Hood, that whole concept rob from the rich and give to the poor. No, it was robbing.
from the government and giving back to the poor who they were taxing, which is exactly what Donald Trump is looking to do. Donald Trump suggested that he is going to take tariff revenue, bring in more money, more money than before. It’s beautiful. Look all this money we’re bringing in. Bringing in the tariff revenue and he is going to give it away, give it away, give it away. Yep, we’re going to be giving away cash. Yep.
distributing dividends from tariff revenue to Americans with certain income levels. And I quote, we have a lot of money coming in, much more money than the country has ever seen by hundreds of billions of dollars. There could be a distribution for dividends to the people of our country. I would say for people that would be middle income people and lower income people, we could do a dividend.
Essentially, I mean, is this basically bringing on universal basic income?
(02:03.992)
I mean, isn’t that what it is? It’s a UBI, it’s universal basic income that they’re going to distribute. Who was the guy’s name there? Was it Wang? I forget his first name. Ran on this. forget in which, this is back I think 2016. Andrew Wang, I think it was. Was it one that ran on universal basic income?
Correct me if I’m wrong. Now, if you replaced Robin Trump Hood with AOC or Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders, the right would be having a collective freak out. Sean Hannity would be flipping out on his program. Has he even talked about this? This is I mean, it’s pretty far left.
You really don’t get much further, farther left than actually taxing people, which is what a tariff is. And again, you get the people out there that still think that some that Xi Jinping is cutting checks to the United States and tariffs or, you know, the EU and Belgium, they’re cutting checks to the United States. That’s not happening. Anyway, basically taxing the American people, turning around and redistributing that
tax in the form of checks.
(03:38.35)
Again, tell me that is not far left. It is. Okay, this is, people, and again, they always talk about the Republican Party. Again, I don’t know what they have anymore right now, but you know, I would, if know, again, if I was in the media, would put a microphone in front of AOC and Bernie and say, what do you think of this proposal? Donald Trump, you
taking in this tariff revenue and handing it away to, you know, middle income people, lower income people, giving away cash, UBI. How could they be against it? You would think that they’d be all over this idea. Again, I talked about what they want to do in regards to, in essence, a property tax for your ideas at the patent office, about as far left as far left could be. This is far left as far left.
as could be. And, again, you, I report, I’m giving you the facts. Okay. Don’t give me, but, but, but, but, but this is the reality. Okay. Ask yourself the question. If AOC, Bernie, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, anybody, Barack Obama proposed this, what would you say?
What would you say?
