Lindsey Graham Got His Christmas Wish
(00:00.406)
So picture, Lindsey Graham, Lindsey Graham, we all know, okay, one of Washington, D.C.’s biggest neocon war hawks going, and he’s going to sit on Santa’s lap before Christmas, and he’s gonna ask Santa for what he wants for Christmas. Is Santa, hi, I’m the Senator Lindsey Graham. I really want another war. I want another war, Santa.
Well, look at this. Lindsey Graham has got his Christmas wish. He’s working his way into another war. He’s declaring war, declaring war because of Chick-fil-A. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. So he said, don’t mess with God’s chicken. Yep. He took the defense of Chick-fil-A. He actually went. He came to New York.
came to New York posed outside of a Chick-fil-A in New York City. And you know, the funny thing is the Chick-fil-A, I know the owner of that Chick-fil-A that he was at, but anyway, neither here nor there. Yeah, he threatened a war in response to legislation that was filed in the New York State Assembly to require Chick-fil-A restaurants, not all of them, again, before everybody gets their underwear in a bunch. Okay, I have.
Zip zero, no problem with Chick-fil-A’s policy in regards to shutting the restaurant down on Sunday. No problem at all. In fact, many restaurants, because they have a difficult time finding staff, close one day a week nowadays. At least in my neck of the woods they do. Again, it’s kind of post-COVID tighter job market. A lot of restaurants where I live, they can’t staff the place.
seven days a week. They need to give their staff time off. Most of them close a day a week. It’s usually a Monday. But anyway, I don’t have any problem at all with Chick-fil-A’s policy that they are not going to be open on Sunday. However, however, it’s a New York State thruway rest stop. The thruway is going to be open seven days a week.

And if you’re going to take space in that rest stop, you should be obliged to serve people seven days a week. I don’t find that unreasonable. Now, if you don’t like that rule, Chick-fil-A doesn’t like the fact that they’re going to, you know, the new state wants them, you’re using their facility, a taxpayer paid for facility, you’re using the taxpayer facility, yeah, you’re paying rent there, I understand that.
But if the rules say that you’ve got to be open seven days a week, no one is forcing you to do that. You don’t have to set up shop there. You don’t have to open up in that rest stop. No one is forcing them to do anything. Again, this is the same argument that I see all the time. And you see people get their underwear in a bunch where somebody in some gated community somewhere where they have rules.
There’ll be some gated community somewhere where they have rules saying that you’re only allowed to fly a flag by a certain size, or you’re only allowed to have certain amount of garden gnomes in the front lawn. And then somebody goes against that and I said, I’m an American, I’m free to do whatever I want. I’m gonna fly as big of a flag as I want to and blah, blah. No, no, you see, you live in a community and you agreed to the rules of that community.
when you moved in. So again, I know you’re American, you want freedom. Okay, but you know, I require the people that work at my business, meeting clients, they’re probably going to be dressed pretty nice, right? Now, I can’t certain school, my kids, my kids went to a public school when they were in elementary school down in Florida that required uniforms. And I loved it.
But that was a requirement. They went to the school. If they didn’t wanna go to that school, they could have gone to a different public school. So again, it’s the same thing. You know the rules. You don’t have to open up there if you don’t like them, just as much as if you don’t like the flag flying rules in a certain gated community, you don’t have to live there either. But again, yep, Lindsey Graham, again, so many of these, they love wars.

Graham threatened war last week in response to legislation that would require the restaurants located at stops to operate seven days a week. Again, the chick-fil-a that Lindsey Graham was standing out in front of, okay, is owned by a family that I know. I coached one of their kids in La Crosse, okay? They’re closed on Sunday.

They, you know, that’s fine. But again, you’re using tax payer property. You’re at a rest stop. People might be hungry when they’re driving on the thruway. Is it too much? No, I think that that’s completely reasonable. And if you don’t like the policy of the state of New York in regards to the thruway rest stops, you don’t have to open up there.
Why is this so difficult to understand? Why is it, who the hell does Lindsey Graham think he is? He’s from the fricking state of South Carolina. Okay, why don’t you go down there and go to south of the border, Pedro’s place, and declare war down there for crying out loud. Give me a break. Lindsey Graham, another hack wasting our time. Watc
