Is America Turning Into One Giant Casino?
(00:00.686)
My hopes were dashed. My hopes were dashed. I was really hoping that the president was going to follow through. I know. I know. It was wishful thinking. It really was. When it came to the prediction markets and all the gambling that’s taking place here in this country, and I threw OnlyFans in there as well, he changed his mind. And yeah.
say that I’m not disappointed. am I know I’ve done a couple podcasts on this recently about the prediction markets about gambling here in our country and some of the other you know, societal ills that quite frankly are front and center. One could make the argument right now one can make the argument right now that this country is a frickin casino.
It is a casino. I was listening to a conversation. Actually, he’s a pretty big podcaster out there. I had this sent over to me. don’t listen to him. There’s only so many hours in a day, but I have seen some of the things he said. He’s pretty good. Pretty darn good. Tim Dillon. And he was talking about how he was.
How he was out in the Hamptons. How he was out in the Hamptons and people, he was kind of making fun of us. He’s like, people, they got like these black eyes. It reminded me of Quint when he’s talking about sharks. Shark’s got a black eyes. But anyway, he’s talking about how, oh yeah, there’s more ways to get rich in America today than ever before. There’s so many different ways to get rich. And he’s like, know, yeah, I’m a podcaster. But again.
That’s podcasting has just taken over as far as the media is concerned. Mainstream media is going down the toilet. That’s just the reality. But he goes off on this rant. He was wrong. Wasn’t wrong. He’s saying, you know, one place where there’s more one building where there’s more ways to get rich than anywhere else is casino. Think about it, right? More ways to get rich in that building. OK, isn’t there every

Every machine is a way to get rich. Every card game, every roulette table, lots and lots and lots of ways to get rich inside a casino. Think about what our culture has, is becoming, or maybe has become here. Weird ways, weird ways of trying to get rich. Shortcuts.
shortcuts to get rich and it is most certainly spiraled out of control with the influencer racket and all this other crap and God willing the pendulum swings but
Is a casino a neighborhood? Think about it. You can go to a casino, you to Vegas. Vegas! Go to Vegas! I have no desire at all. Yeah, do I want to go see the Sphere and see a concert there? But on that, I’ve never gone there. People are blown away. You remember the Vegas? No. No, yeah. If I want to go see Venice, I’ll go to Venice. I don’t want to go see a fricking replica of it in the middle of fricking desert. I have no desire. None!
None. In the same way, I’m quite frankly, I have no desire to go to Dubai. It’s like one big fricking shopping mall you put up in the fricking desert. No interest in that crap, man. None. That’s just me. To each his own. Anyway, neither here nor there.
Our society becoming, is our society becoming a casino? Is that a society?

Just more ways to get rich quick.
Need to pull back from this. Need to. President, he knows it because he said it. Off the cuff. He said it. And then a couple days later, we got this. After somebody talked to him, obviously, and said, hey, you know, there’s a lot of money in that prediction markets. We got a lot of people that we know that are donors that are involved in this. Reporter asked the president,
Mr. President, you said this week you’re not a fan of prediction markets and they’re turning the country into a casino.
supply. Well, I don’t know. I know some people that are very smart. They like it. They disagree. But hey, like it. Porter then asked your administration is aggressively pushing to legalize these markets. And I was wondering if you potentially wanted to reconsider that policy. A lot of other countries are doing it. When other countries do it, we get left out in the cold if we don’t do it.

Who? What other countries? I don’t know. Like I said, I haven’t seen it pop up really in Europe. And just because other countries are doing it, we have to follow. Last time I checked, we’re supposed to lead.
We’re supposed to lead. Saying no to bad ideas and bad policy is a great thing. Hey, Europe does that to us with our food, and they’re not wrong, because their food’s better than ours.
So because other countries want to get involved in this prediction market racket, we’ve got to do it too. That’s not leadership, Mr. President. I expect more out of you. Watchdog on wallstreet.com.
