How Trump’s Tariffs Are Making the Swamp Great Again
(00:00.566)
Unfortunately, Donald Trump is making the swamp great again. Yeah, the DC swamp that I rail against all the time, the lobbyists, the system, the kickbacks, payoffs. He’s making it great again. He’s making it big again. I warned everybody about this when the tariffs liberation day and the whole hullabaloo after that. We’re seeing it now.
you’re seeing farmers show up on various different television programs, and they’re none too happy. None too happy about the fact that, gee, US soybean exports to China totaled 218 million bushels through August of this year. It was 985 million bushels in 2024. Ouch. Ouch. Yeah, what are the?
What are the soybean? What are the tariffs they put on us? China did was like 20, 23%, 23%. And they’re buying cheaper soybeans from Argentina and Brazil and the soybean farmers. Guess what? They’re going to get a bailout. This is the swamp. This is a swamp. I mean, we’re told, you know, this is the funny thing is, is that the president causes this damn problem. It’s his fault.
And he is taking credit now for fixing the problem that he caused. He’s like the arsonist putting out the fire in this one. Again, the reporting that this bailout to US farmers could be as large as $10 billion. Who knows? Could be more. Could be more. Again, you’re taking a look at what’s taking place.
And exactly, exactly what I told you was going to happen when it came to Washington DC. Everybody that has been affected by tariffs are going out and retaining lobbyists at this point in time. And they’re gonna look for little carve outs and little bailouts. They’re gonna say, wow, look what the farmers got. They’re gonna go out there, they’re gonna try to influence. And that’s basic what’s happening. It’s influence peddling. So it’s great business. If you are in the lobbying business in Washington DC,

You’re thrilled by all of this. This is nonsensical, quite frankly. Again, it’s interesting to see. I highly doubt the Supreme Court will overturn Trump’s bit of a power grab when it came to tariffs without a doubt and saying that, hey, it’s an emergency and I can just add a tax to the American people when it’s supposed to go through Congress. But
I think that they’ll probably defer, but as well, can the President of the United States unilaterally just start issuing checks? Just start issuing checks to farmers or businesses without going through Congress. He’s gonna try, he’s gonna try. Again, thank Donald for making the swamp great again. Watchdogonwallstreet.com.
