How Republicans Are Blowing the Healthcare Fix

It’s a shame it really is. The opportunity that is right in front of us right now to fix healthcare here in the United States and Republicans are failing. I want to take everybody back in time. is back in 2008. Rahm Emanuel was Barack Obama’s chief of staff. And he said the line, said, never let a serious crisis go to waste. They put forth a lot of left-wing policies. They were very, very good at that. Here we have a government shutdown, a crisis. We have Obamacare, which has been an absolute disaster, both sides of the aisle. No, it’s a disaster. Okay, find somebody that actually likes their health care. Find somebody. And what are Republicans doing?
Nothing. Democrats don’t have anything. Democrats are just calling for throwing more money at it. I watched that, I watched Jared Bernstein. Remember Jared Bernstein? He was the head of Biden’s Council of Economic Advisers. I don’t know if you remember. He couldn’t even explain how our government functions when it comes to printing money and bond issuance. Yeah, you don’t believe it. Go look it up.
Just Google Jared Bernstein bonds and watch the video. played it a couple of years ago here on the show. Jared Bernstein, who again, this is what happens when you work in government. You get some BS cushy job. Yeah, he’s actually an adjunct professor at Stanford in linguistics. But that’s OK. You can look at his resume and see actually what he studied in college.

Anyway, neither here nor there, okay? Huge opportunity going by the wayside right now. You got healthcare executives, you got people in government jumping up and down, shouting, we need subsidies, we need more money. understand it, that independent surgeons out there are laughing. They say, eliminate all this. I said, we can do the same surgery that we have to pay these ridiculous, well,
you know, they’re charging ridiculous sums for because of all the administration for 60 % less with a 30 % margin. Yeah. Yeah. The reality is right now, once everybody pulled the curtain back, you have to take a look and see what’s going on. I think that that’s what lot of people are scared of. They’re going to see how much money has actually been taken and stolen and not spent on health care.
The free market works every single time it’s tried. I’m gonna give everybody example of this, because sometimes I get pushback for people that don’t trust the free market. What is a free market when it comes to healthcare here in the United States? Lasik. Think about that. Lasik surgery continues to get better and better. The technology continues to improve and it’s getting cheaper and cheaper.
Plastic surgery, same thing. Elective plastic surgery. Anything that is outside, outside of subsidies, insurance, it continues to improve and it gets cheaper. For crying out loud, what’s her name there? Kristi, I don’t know, it’s Kim Kardashian’s mom. She almost looks about the age of her daughter.
at this point in time. If you’ve seen Lindsay Lohan, I mean, they don’t even look like the old days. I mean, for crying out loud, the stuff that they’re doing and the price continues to drop. This is what could be done. However, however, and I’m going to point this out, I pointed it out before, I’m going to point it out again. The powers that be within the Republican Party, they are full of crap.

They lie to you. That’s all politicians. Again, you always use that line from the hunt for red October. Okay, I’m a politician means I’m a cheat and a liar. And if I’m not kissing babies, I’m stealing their lollipops. That’s who these people are. They want their checks. They want their checks from insurance companies. They want their checks from the big hospital groups that are existing. It’s a disaster. Okay. And nobody wants to fix it.
Huge opportunity, huge opportunity to lower health care costs, to go back to go to a free market system here in the United States. And what are the Republicans doing? Nothing. Zip, zero, holding a vote every single day to reopen the government, which they know is not going to happen until there’s ridiculous rally. No King’s rally happens this week. Again, you’ve done nothing. You’ve wasted our time.
