EV losses continue to pile up
This is insane. Ford’s gonna lose $4.5 billion on EVs. That’s up from 2.1 billion last year. You’re doing it wrong. How is it that you’re losing more money this year? I mean, you’re selling more of them and you’re losing more money. Again, you’re doing it wrong. You obviously don’t understand how businesses work. Again. It’s extraordinary to me. You take a look at Ford and the type of money that they’re making over at Ford. At some point in time, can we get an auto CEO out there somewhere to grow a set of cojones and actually call this out and say, the only reason why we’re making these EVs is the government is forcing us to do so. Why are they such? chicken ships. I mean honestly you know that’s the case. I saw it today. Ah Cadillac is going to introduce its first Cadillac Escalade EV. Do you think a Cadillac EV is environmentally friendly? Do you have any idea that the type of rare earth minerals and what’s involved and the size of a needs to have, it’s stupid, it’s dumb. Hybrid, again, I understand hybrid, that makes sense, that always did make sense, but no, no. We gotta go all EV, and I think it’s starting at $150,000. Lucid, Lucid’s funny, because it’s like a play toy. It’s like a rich kid play toy. Lucid is, yeah, their revenue fell short on Wall Street’s expectations. Again, Lucid is Saudi Arabia’s plaything. And they, how many cars did they sell? 1400, second quarter. Dropping the price of their cars. Again, their most expensive car, they’re dropping it by 12 grand to… 95,000 and 125,000 respectively. And then their cheapest model is $82,000. Again, who cares? The Saudis throw money into this thing. It’s their baby. And what’s funny is that they, the country’s Ministry of Finance agreed to buy at least 50,000 and up to 100,000 EVs from Lucid over the next decade. It’s like they’re taking money from… one pocket and putting it over into the other pocket. They don’t care for crying out loud. They wanted to play a soccer player, what almost a billion dollars to play for three years. It’s no issue to them. It’s a faucet where money comes out of. So if you wanna go ahead and do that, that’s fine. You know, that’s up to you. But I mean, let’s be honest, everybody. If this was really about trying to… help the environment and get it done in a manner where you really want to reduce carbon and do it in a way that made sense, you would have gone the hybrid route. Not this. Forcing companies to make automobiles that they’re gonna lose money on is patently absurd. Watchdogonwallstreet.com.
