Dumb and Dumber in Washington D.C.

Oh, when I saw this latest piece of Biden administration regulations, appliance crackdown, I could think of Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. Now I’ve utilized Harry and Lloyd here on the program in the past, basically to explain how social security works in regards to their suitcase full of IOUs. But again, this would be of Harry and Lloyd, and I don’t even know if Harry and Lloyd would be this dumb.
Okay, so the Biden administration’s got another appliance that they wanna mess around with. Yep, the Department of Energy is proposing a rule. I’m not making this up. Is proposing a rule that would require ceiling fans to be more energy efficient. This is gonna save households on energy costs.

Well, according to the energy department’s analysis, the new rules and regulations would save households about $39. What is that, the cost of a few Frappuccinos? Yeah, households about $39 over the lifespan of the new energy efficient fan.

I lived in Florida for 15 years. And the longest period of time, like the longest house I had was 10. And we had ceiling, Florida had ceiling fans in every room. And in that 10 year period of time, did we lose a ceiling fan? No, no, no. I bet you I go back to that house today and I bet you the same ceiling fans are still up. So $39 over the lifespan of the new energy efficient fan. How?
What is the lifespan? What are you calculating as a lifespan? But here’s the kicker, okay? This just goes to show you just how bloody stupid people are in Washington DC, in the Biden administration, at the energy department. This is gonna cost manufacturers $86.6 million per year. Per year.
Not to mention, what is it going to do? It’s going to put all of these small ceiling fan manufacturers out of business because they’re not going to be able to afford the new regulations. They estimate anywhere between 10 and 30% of small ceiling fan manufacturers will be gone. So you could save $39 over the lifespan of a ceiling fan? Dumb and dumber. Except, Harry and Lloyd were much, much smarter than this. Watchdog on wallstreet.com
