Drone Incident in Romania Raises NATO Tensions
(00:00.428)
NATO, yeah, we got a problem. We got a problem right now. I again this just shows you just how I’m gonna sorry, how piss poor our media is in this country. They’re barely covering this story. Barely covering this story to try to find out information. I gotta go to European papers. but yeah, Romania was hit with a Russian drone. Yeah. yep, there was a
A Russia drone, they called a Russia drone crash. It hit a hit an apartment building in Romania, caused damage, people were hurt. again, that’s an attack, is it an attack, I don’t know, on a member of NATO. response, response from the Russian
spokesperson, they haven’t re said anything as of yet, as this podcast, they haven’t responded. What what does this mean? Well, nay Romania right now is looking to invoke what is known as Article Four. Article five, which is when, okay, there was an attack on a member, everyone has to here we come to save the day. That’s kind of like a vengers assemble.
Okay, I’ll give you comic book rhetoric right there. Everybody’s supposed to go together. The only time Article Five has ever been invoked was the day after September 11th of the attacks here in the United States. Article four allows a member state to start a formal discussion among the Allies about threats to its security. It doesn’t commit NATO to military action.
But it is a required step toward a NATO decision to invoke Article Five. Will they invoke it? I don’t know. This was in the city of Galati, which was a major river port. They haven’t they haven’t said it yet. Article four has been invoked nine times.

Which including February twenty-fourth, twenty twenty-two, the day Russia launched its full scale invasion of Ukraine. Poland invoked it in September after NATO fighter shot down Russian drones that had entered its airspace. Estonia invoked it later that month after Russian fighters inviolated its space. Again,
There, you Mark Rutin’s in charge of NATO. NATO stands ready to defend every inch of Allied territory. I don’t know. I get I I don’t know. could this be Vladimir Putin kind of seeing, you know, let’s let’s see how let’s test this whole NATO thing. We’ll see what they’re gonna do here. We’ll see if it’s just a a paper type. Maybe. I mean, it’s most certainly the possibility because the the Ukraine thing’s not working out too well for him.
I know they are none too happy. Russian foreign ministers put out thing they are very, very upset with the fact that we are moving troops, 5,000 troops from Germany to Poland. they’re saying this is too close to our borders and more problems. Again, these are pretty important geopolitical things that are happening right now, and we still are as of now. We’re still a member of NATO.
I’m just trying to inform you on what’s going on because nobody else is. Watchdog on Wall Street.com.
