Don’t Be a Victim of an Investment Scam
(00:00.774)
I got another massive investment scheme $294 million, just one out of New Jersey. The guys, they got caught, OK, finally. US District Court basically said, conspiracy to commit securities fraud. They were actively leading clients,
putting their money into low cost funds. Again, been there, done that, covering this stuff for years and years and years. This company, Prophecy Asset Management, came up with some, you know, basically you can’t lose investment. They, what they said was is that they’re gonna, they’re putting your money, taking their investors money in, putting them with active managers that were gonna trade their accounts.
But those traders were going to actually put money up in case there were losses to protect for any sort of downside, which is just patently absurd. It’s absolutely ridiculous at its face. And again, you’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars in people losing money, losses. Again, the owners of the company, what did they do? They pocketed it.
Again, I don’t know what they’re going to end up with in jail time. I don’t know what Swiss bank account or came in account this money is in at this point in time. Again, they probably lost a lot of money and just trading losses by being incompetent. All you had to do was ask. All you had to do, again, I have to believe, I have to believe deep down inside that there’s something telling you as an investor that something’s amiss, something is wrong.
All you need to do is ask, pick up the phone, call us. We’ll let you know whether it’s legit or not legit. This would have taken me a whole maybe five minutes to figure this thing out. Was it a ripoff and a scam? Like I said, I’ve been doing this for so many years. So I don’t know, we’re up in the thousands of scams that we’ve covered and warned people about on a regular basis. And I say again and again and again, to get rich, quick con artists out there, right? Greed and fear.

set the trap. They’re going to either greed you into doing something or they’re going to try to scare you into doing something. Either way, it’s a scam. I mean, get rich quick con artists is the world’s second oldest profession. And what’s amazing to me in my years of doing this, my decades of doing that, it’s just the same scam kind of reworked in some way, shape, matter or form.
At some point in time, people, you have to take responsibility. You have to stop being a victim. We live in a day and age when you can do some homework. You can look into things a little bit more. Again, like I said, we’re here to help you. If you have any questions in regards to anything that you’re doing, if that, again, that little, yeah, bit of doubt pops up in your mind, ask. Just ask. We’ll tell you whether or not it’s legitimate. Watchdog on wallstreet.com.
