Do You Need $177,000 to Live Comfortably???
(00:00.414)
So $177 ,798 for a family of four to live comfortably in the United States. Okay, you try to get your arms around this. And I’ve been, we’ve been alluding to this. We’ve been talking about, you know, again, the need for families to stick together. This is going back even pre -COVID.
Okay, inflation has been a problem for some time. I recall doing a report on the way builders are starting to actually add in -law apartments on new homes. And, you know, they kind of saw what was coming down the pike and just the cost of living here in the United States. But again, the drum beat out there is that it’s always been awesome. We were the first ones out there. You know, why would you ever tell people that? They’re never gonna wanna have a…
work with Markowski Investments. If you’re telling senior citizens that they might have to work in retirement, what do you want me to do? Lie? We’re talking about the three -day work week and some of the issues that are out there. Basically, Americans do not make enough money. It’s the latest study out here to live comfortably in the situation we have today. The most expensive states, families needed nearly $300 ,000 to simply
live comfortably. The least expensive state requires about half that, but still over $100 ,000. Meanwhile, the average salary in the United States is $59 ,000. Massachusetts, Massachusetts most expensive state to live in $301 ,184 to live comfortably in tax. Massachusetts, the least expensive is Mississippi.
USA! Proud to be an American, well at least I know I’m free. Aha! Yeah. And again, listen, you can take Biden and Bidenomics, obviously you put all of this stuff on steroids. I’m well aware of all of that, but this has been going on for a very long period of time. And it’s always due. It’s always due to government subsidies. It’s always due to government intervention, government picking and choosing winners and losers.

We’ve talked about that here on the program. We’ve also talked about how the addiction to handouts and giveaways has led to this problem as well. Whatever it may, whatever the government subsidizes, the prices go up. Whether it be college, whether it be the government’s involvement in the housing market. Real estate’s another thing. That again, people quite frankly, they don’t…
understand it, they don’t get it. How much better would our economy be? A lot of people are like, wow, look at my house and look at how much it’s worth. What if, you know, what if housing, for generations it basically stayed with inflation. Now it’s far surpassing inflation. How much better would our economy be if people had more disposable income to go out and move and do and all sorts of great things? It just…
you know, understand that, you know, the fact that, okay, you sold your house for more money. I mean, that’s all well and good. But where, where does it end? Where does it end? Well, it’s anywhere we are right now. Where people are basically, you know, working their butts off to get by. And, you know, you think about what’s taken place with Javier Malé in Argentina and the various different reforms he’s looking to put into place.
because of the inflationary crisis spiraled out of control value of their currency has gone nowhere. It’s gone nowhere. It’s gone in the opposition. It’s actually stopped now under his policies. The inflationary spiral has stopped. But all the news from all the leftist publications is how difficult things are in Argentina and people are hurrying because he’s laid off government workers and he’s done this and he’s done that. So what? It needs to be done.
It needs to be done and we’re going to have to come to some point in time where that’s going to be the case too. But we don’t have anybody in either party that’s willing to do that. Meaning massive layoffs in government workers. A complete change in the way that we basically structure government and our involvement with government. You want to, you want to pay these high prices? Well, people, you know, we’ve got to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result makes us quite frankly, stupid. And that’s what we continue.
