Disney and Go Woke Go Broke
(00:00.918)
Disney and the case of GoWoke GoBroke, Bob Iger, Bob Chapek, they actually are getting hit with a lawsuit from investors, talking about a bit of a sleight of hand when it comes to accounting and what they were doing to hide Disney’s streaming losses. Not good at all. Disney stock just recently hit a…
nine year low. They’ve had a myriad of issues and it was as plain as day. You just take a look at the movies that they have been releasing and you could say, how are these movies going to make money? How, it’s this nonsense that they keep shoving down people’s throats thinking that it’s going to work. I think she had a conversation about this with one of my good friends.
the other day, and you look at some of the stuff that they’re putting out, some of these movie studios, Disney’s not the only one, and you gotta say to yourself, how the hell did this thing get green lighted? I can’t tell you how many times over the past year, year and a half, I started watching a film and just shut it off. Just shut it off. I never used to do that. I kinda wanted to see the thing through and through.
I can’t even finish watching some of the crap that they put out. And then you go ahead and you take classics, movies that again are near and dear to people and you decide to change them and completely turn around. Case in point, Disney’s got a live action Snow White coming out. There’s no more Seven Dwarfs in this movie.
Snow White is not even white, it’s another bunch of woke nonsense. Again, people, it’s not good for the bottom line. And this is the funny thing that I’m gonna point this out as well. This is where, again, I kind of differ when it comes to some of the things that Ron DeSantis was doing. Get it, I get it, you wanna stop giving Disney its special treatment that they were getting in the state of Florida.

That’s fine, I don’t have any problem with that. But if I was governor of a state or situation, I’d be like, listen, it’s sad to see, but Disney is gonna just hurt themselves by doing this. I don’t have to do a darn thing. And that’s the same thing when I talk about when it comes to China and communist countries, inevitably they’re gonna fail. You go into these crazy cultural movements.
whatever it may be. And you’re going against the vast majority of the country. These are the people that buy your products. How do you think that’s gonna work out?
I mean, honestly, how do you think that’s gonna work out? But again, you know, these idiots, they keep banging their head against the wall and expecting something different to happen. Yeah, it’s, you know, you go woke, you go broke. And listen, I’d say there’s room out there. You wanna have, you wanna be a woke, you know, network or whatever it may be that caters and has that niche.
I get that. Don’t they have, isn’t there a network out there that caters to LGBTQ? You know, okay, you know, do what you want with that. But you know, you’re taking, you know, The Little Mermaid and you’re taking, you know, what was it, the Buzz Lightyear film and Snow White and go on and on and on. Of all the screw ups that you’ve had, you know, not to mention, you know, you have Takeover.
Take over Lucasfilm, Star Wars, the crap that you put out on a consistent basis. Eventually it’s gonna come home to roost, guys. So yeah, Disney shareholders, none too happy. Sleight of hand when it comes to hiding, hiding the bad numbers when it comes to streaming. And Disney continues to have a myriad of problems. And it’s, again, you know, they bring back.
(04:31.298)
They bring back Bob Iger like he’s, you know, some sort of wizard of smart that’s gonna fix this entire thing. I don’t see it happening at this point in time. They need to have major, major changes. You take a look at the amount of people that are actually going to Disney World and they do it. They judge it based upon wait times for rides and it’s shrunk considerably.
I’m sorry, I don’t get it. People love to, I don’t understand. Who in their right mind wants to go there and spend $19 for macaroni and cheese for the kids? I ain’t gonna do that. Rather stick a hot poker in my eye, quite frankly. Oh yeah, let’s go to the Star Wars, how much they spend on that Star Wars hotel experience? That…
Most of the country, 95 plus, no, I didn’t go higher. 98% of the country probably can’t afford to do. Thousands of dollars a day to make you feel like you’re on sort of galactic star cruiser. How many families can actually afford that crap? Seriously. Dumb. Watchdog on wallstreet.com.
