And they’re big issues. And again, I remind people, even in my podcast, is that these are things that you need to pay attention to. You need to be aware of. However, however, you cannot let it be your everything. You cannot let it consume you. To be fixated on politics, politics, the news, all that stuff, the arguments, the fights.
and obsessing on these things. It’s a distraction. It’s a distraction. More important, and again, you want to be aware of what’s going on in the world. I get all that. But we talked about compounding last week. We talked about compounding and you want to be a little bit better every single day. If you were more fixated on that, you’re going to be a better place.
But if you’re constantly consumed by this stuff, frustrated, angst, all sorts of disdain with the world, whatever it may be, it’s not going to get you to the right place. It really isn’t. I one of the underlying themes that we’ve talked about here on the program is the importance, quite frankly, of doing what? Building, protecting, and teaching. Building, protecting, and teaching.
And if you focus on that, you’re focusing on your family, you’re focusing on your local communities, because the reality of situation is that we here, we don’t have much say or influence in what goes on in Washington, DC. They’re perfectly clear. Unless you’re cutting a really big check, they’re not going to do much. Quite frankly, you know this. And it’s both sides of the aisle.

And again, you focus on your family, focus on your friends and your local community. Don’t let these people beat you up. Don’t be consumed by it. Life is just too damn short.
