Are Republicans Tired of Losing Yet?
(00:00.542)
Yes, Republicans have become the loser party. Again, they’re starting to remind me of Jets fans. Now, again, I go to quite a few Jets games. One of my best friends and the guy in charge of our accounting department for our clients, one of the best accountants going. Yeah, he’s got quite a few Jets season tickets and I’m around Jets fans a lot. I grew up a New York Giants fan. We’re not much better. We’ve become the loser party too,
It’s it’s almost like this optimism every year that the Jets have that they, you know, whether they draft a new quarterback, they bring in Aaron Rogers, whatever it may be. This is going to be the year that they do it. It’s kind of like Republicans are this election cycle is going to be a red wave and it’s gone. Yeah, it never materializes. And yesterday, again, oh, my God, all Republicans are going to.
sweep the legislature in Virginia and you got to pick up wins here, there and everywhere. And no. No. You lost again. Democrats kicked your ass. And I’ve gone through this before. And again, this ticks off all of the MAGA types, the super Trumpsters out there that thinks that their guy is so star spangled awesome.
He’s the key. He’s the key. Yeah, sure. He is. Trump. There’s gonna be so much winning going on. Oh my god, we’re gonna get tired. All the winning. Other stupid comments from DJ T. Yeah, how much winning is going on with Donald Trump as the leader of the party? How much winning is going on with? What’s your name there? Can’t drive me nuts now Romney’s niece.
in charge of the party, Daniels there. A lot of winning? No. Plenty of ass kicking, so. Yeah, Republican, yeah, we’re great at getting our ass kicked on a regular pace. And I said, we are. I’m not a member of the Republican party. But anyway, yeah, yeah. Let’s go back to this loser again and again and again and again and again.

This whole abortion rights thing that you continue to leave at the forefront. Listen, I don’t have any problem at all with people having a certain belief system thinking that abortion needs to be done away with abortion is bad. It’s how you go about handling it. And obviously via the legislature, via referendums, it’s a loser.
It’s so much of a loser that Democrats are now pushing to put referendums on many state ballots in 2024 to help them to win. That’s how big of a loser this issue is. And again, I don’t have any problem debating this. But that’s where it should be. And I’ve always been a big believer that conservatives, the right
whatever it may be, you want to change people’s hearts and minds in this. You don’t do it via the courts. You don’t do it by the legislature. You’ve got to do it person to person. And that’s how it needs to be done. And I’ve also pointed to the massive failure of many of these faith-based organizations. In particular, you think about the Catholic Church and their anti-abortion stance. That’s all well and good.
But why don’t you put your money where your mouth is? You know, I get it, I get it. You’ve had to spend billions of dollars, you know, in settlements because of pedophile priests. My diocese here in Long Island, Rockville Center Diocese, bankrupt. Bankrupt, gee, I wonder why. Yeah, back in Renaissance, Middle Ages, you know, the Catholic Churches to be involved with helping.
in regards, as I always explained, you go to Florence, Italy, and you take a look at this, you know, beautiful, constructed, it’s another architectural marvel, one of a zillion in Italy. The hospital of the innocents, Ospedale del Desante, and it’s in Florence, and they have little doors, you can go and you can see where mothers would put their babies in, they couldn’t take care of them, and then they were taken care of by the church. Yeah, that doesn’t happen anymore.

Money’s not there. Again, got court cases that you have to decide. Again, listen people, there’s solutions to this problem in a much better way than handling this. Again, trying to do it by a referendum, trying to do it by the ballot box. You should take this and put this away and social issues need to come to the side, not the forefront right now, because you’re losing on them and you’re gonna continue to lose on them.
And again, let a lot of this stuff be handled on the local level. Don’t nationalize this stuff and you’re going to be in a much better place. But no, Republicans don’t learn. They don’t learn they continue to do one dumb thing after another dumb thing after another dumb thing. And why not pay a little bit closer attention to really the things that are most important to people that you can really energize people and those obviously are kitchen table.
issues. And that’s, that’s truly what’s important right now. Again, I flipped on the, you know, did various different networks this morning, cruising to see what the reaction was. You know, Fox News was funny. Fox News, Fox News spent, Fox and Friends this morning, they spent the majority of their time on Fox and Friends talking about poll numbers and how Joe Biden is losing to Donald Trump.
Polls are nice guys at Fox, Fox and Friends. And that nice. Oh, your polls are great. Isn’t that fantastic? But it’s actually the votes that count. That’s what really matters in the end. Not your stupid polls that you keep pointing to again and again and again. I mean, that’s all they were covering. All they were covering. It’s like, oh, they’re.
It’s like they had their pom poms and their short skirts on or they were carrying the water for Donald Trump and the Republican Party, which is again, it’s a disarray. It was a really interesting exchange though that took place on CNBC this morning where you had Eric Cantor. Yeah, everybody remembers good old Eric from Virginia. Well, Eric’s a, he’s a banker now at some private equity hedge fund called Mollison Company. And Eric.
(07:15.882)
makes a statement talking about, well, you know, I think Trump is, you know, he’s the going to be the candidate and he’s going to be up there and they asked me, you’re going to vote for him. He said, yeah, I’ll vote for the Republican. And actually, Andrew Ross Sorkin put it to him. So wait a second, Eric, would you would you allow Donald Trump to work at your company? Would you bring Donald Trump who might be indicted? Would you bring him to a meeting when you’re trying to bring clients on and pitch them? Eric could answer.
And he got pushed on the issue. He’s like, well, you know, we’ve got certain regulations that we have to abide by again, he wouldn’t, you know, he couldn’t get licensed. He couldn’t do it. Donald Trump. And, uh, it was an interesting give and take. Um, again, I know all of you, you people out there, the super Trumps, there’s the Maga types out there. Uh, I’m here to tell you, okay. You can call me nasty names. You can say whatever you want. Um, you’re gonna lose. You’re gonna lose.
next year, you’re gonna lose, not gonna win. Okay, just not going to happen. Not gonna happen. You’re not gonna win with this guy at the head of, just, I don’t see it. I don’t see it. And again, I want you to explain to me otherwise, when all, since Donald Trump has taken over, since he took over in 2016, every election cycle,
has been a disappointing loss. Again and again and again. Yet you still think that he is gonna be the savior? Again, we got a country of what? 330 million people and this is the best two that we have. I mean, you can, come on, don’t get angry, okay? Take a deep breath, breathe in and out, count to 10.
and say to yourself that these are the best two. This is the best options we have. We have no other choice. We’ve gotta go with these two to run the country.
