Are American Parents FAILING? Why Your Kids Can’t Read.
(00:00.622)
It blows my mind. Kids can’t read. This is in the state of Illinois. One out of every three fourth graders are meeting reading proficiency standards. One out of every three. I brought this up before, that comedy movie, Zoolander. There, remember Derek Zoolander wanted to start a school.
The Derek Zulander Center for Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Who Want to Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too? I know, I cracked a joke, but it’s really not funny. Data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress Report shows that in Illinois, 30 % of fourth graders are hitting such standards. And again, they’re 29th in the country.
I let you just throw this out there. Okay. It’s not schools fault.
It’s not. And I’ve made this perfectly clear. If your kid is not proficient in reading in fourth grade, that’s parents’ fault. It’s not the school’s job to raise your kid. Not the school’s job to raise your kid. That would be your job. That would be your job. And if you’re having a kid under the assumption
What are the assumption that you are just gonna drop them off at daycare and then at school and have these schools raise your kids all the way through? Well.

You suck as a parent. I don’t know what to tell you. Not everybody should have kids. Yeah, I know we’ve got a problem in this country in regards to demographics and we’d like people to have more kids, but we’d also like people to have more kids that will actually educate their kids because that’s your job. That’s priority one. Okay? If you’re going to have children is to raise them properly. And I’m
telling you right now and again I’m be very very blunt okay be very blunt okay your kid is not proficient in reading in fourth grade and you are the parent that’s on you watchdog on wallstreet.com
