EV Subsidies are Non-Sense!
One of the big ads was for the Super Bowl. It was a mish mosh. Will Ferrell took a bunch of Netflix shows and inserted electric vehicles into a clever ad, which I didn’t mind. My issue with electric vehicles is not the vehicles themselves. Do you want to own an electric vehicle? Have fun, and God bless! All power to you, no pun intended. I don’t like subsidies. They’re clearly absurd. The notion that I must help you pay for your car? Is that correct? What do you think about it? makes no sense, not to mention that everyone thinks, “Oh, oh, these are green.” That’s a load of nonsense. If you see how they’re made and the type of mining involved, you might think otherwise.
They are coming for your 401K’s and IRA’s
I know there are a lot of tactics out there in regards to Social Security, and Republicans are coming for Social Security and they’re going to try to take it away. I’m going to tell you what you really need to be concerned about. Nobody can take away Social Security. Social Security is running out of funds, and unless changes are made, adjustments will be made. Again, the payout will be 80% (20/35). That’s all there is to it. You know what scares me? What really worries me is if the government decides to take away our 401(k) and IRA—and this is not a conspiracy. I’ve been covering this for years here on my podcasts, radio shows, and “money minutes.” There is a plan in place to convert everyone’s 401(k) and IRA accounts into guaranteed government accounts. Talk about scary.
Corporate welfare – Do I agree with Bernie and Elizabeth Warren on something?
Today is one of those days where you think; “You know, maybe hell freezes over and pigs might fly” because I happen to agree with Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders on this one. They want to prevent semiconductor companies that used our money to build semiconductor plants in the United States from engaging in stock buybacks for a period of ten years. Do you have any issues with that? If you want to do the stock buyback, please return the money to us, the taxpayers. Again, we were idiots in this country for a long time and offshored way too much in terms of supply chains, but I’m not a big believer in corporate welfare. They’re going to take corporate welfare, and you’re going to buy their stock back?
The Balloon is being used as a media diversion
Mission accomplished for the mainstream media and those in charge of the show. Over the last week, they’ve had us fixated on stupid freaking balloons. Three of the things they shot down are supposedly commercial. So, yes, we have balloons. Look up in the sky- it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s just a balloon. Alright, whatever.
There are bigger stories, in case you hadn’t heard, and unless you’re listening to Fox because they’re really the only ones covering this, and possibly Newsmax to some degree. Situation similar to Chernobyl. In those terms, how bad things are in Ohio right now is apocalyptic. Three train derailments have occurred; where in the world is Pete Buttigieg? Where is he on this one? What about the Seymour Hersh story, which was completely discarded, but us blowing up the Nord Stream. Was this not important?
