Go Gators! I’m doing a Gator Chop right here. I haven’t been to a University of Florida football game in a while, but man, that was a great time. But go Gators! Yeah, I got a hand into them. I’m Ben Sasse, the president, the University of Florida. The University of Florida. Yes, smile on my face. Dismissing all of its DEI staff. Diversity, equity.
inclusion and you’re gone. You’re gone. Closing its DEI office, halting DEI contracts with outside vendors. All the people that are laid off, yep, they’re going to give them severance. They’re saving millions of dollars. That’s going to be reallocated to a faculty recruitment fund. People, they want to reapply for jobs that are actually useful.
in educating the students at the University of Florida, yep, they can sign up and they can do that. Again, fantastic move. This is gonna be a boom. Again, you wanna differentiate your college and university. You wanna watch, all right, already the University of Florida is a very, very difficult school to get into. It’s gonna get that much more difficult.
People are clamoring for this. They want this. Honestly, somebody ought to do like a US News and World’s Report. You know, they do their college rankings every year. They got to separate it. One that is based upon, again, schools that have freedom of speech, you know, getting rid of all of this DEI nonsense.
schools that are based upon meritocracy rather than this other nonsense. You want to see people clamor to go to those schools? You will, because the reality of the terrain right now, folks, is that you are going to see colleges and universities are many of them are going to go the way of commercial real estate. Yeah. Yeah, it’s many of them are going to be going out of business. That’s right. You’re going to have for sale signs up is going to be a lot of prime.

They’re wisening up to the scam that many of these degrees that these colleges are pitching on people are offering. Good for them. Smart move. And once again, wise move by Florida. Go Gators.
