Yep, White House gave federal workers a choice, either return to the office full time or resign and get paid for the next eight months. Again, they’re putting that carrot.
in front of these federal workers. They’re starting to think to themselves, I go on vacation for the next eight months. man, they’re expecting five to 10 % of the federal workforce to take this deal. I hope so. man, I hope it’s more. I mean, this is a great way of cutting costs. The Office of Personnel Management told federal workers that they have until February 6th to decide how to proceed.
If they step down, they will continue to receive all pay and benefits and will be exempt from in-person requirements until September 30th. Yeah, even then though, but the Trump administration made clear that even those government employees who stay could still eventually lose their jobs as a president works to downsize the federal government.
