Trump, Rob Reiner, and a Missed Moment for Grace
(00:01.718)
Rob Reiner and reconciliation. I am, gonna take the opportunity to use some of the things that transpired yesterday in the wake of the awful death of Rob Reiner and his wife at the hands of his son who obviously had issues for a long period of time. And I’m gonna try to do something.
with this today. The president of the United States came out yesterday and put out a tweet and I’m going to be on my initial reaction was just disgust, anger. mean, I was just, this is vile. Who does this? I’m going read it to you in case you haven’t seen it. Very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling
but once very talented movie director and comedy star passed away together with his wife, Michelle, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive unyielding and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people crazy.
by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness. And with the golden age of America upon us, perhaps like never before, may Robin Michelle rest in peace. Okay.
I, again, I really got taken back by that yesterday. I really did. And again, it was kind of funny as well to watch at first all of Trump’s sycophants, all of his online influencers putting out tweets. See, see how well behaved we are on the right. Remember all those crazy people on the left that attack Charlie Kirk?
(02:22.258)
And after Trump put his statement out, all of a sudden these same people changed their mind. yes, Rob Reiner, Rob Reiner, open games. Okay. For the president to come out and speak like this. It’s okay because, you know, he said that Trump was involved with the Russia collusion and I’m
It. It really made me sad. And it should make. All of us sad at this point in time. It’s Christmas, Christmas season. And. The man that. We’re celebrating. The birth of the man that was selling the greatest, my opinion, obviously, person ever lived.
incarnate here, when he was tortured to death, tortured to death and killed on a cross.
(03:30.782)
He prayed God forgave everyone who was doing this to him. And you people, you can’t get your arms around that. You can’t understand that. You know, well, when you you pray for certain things, when you ask for certain things, feel like God gives them
to you directly. In many respects, you know, it’s been kind of talked about in a myriad of different ways, almost like he gives you an opportunity. An actual opportunity to actually make that change on your own. You’re presented with various different things. The president of United States was giving a tremendous opportunity to bring the country
try to bring the country together. Obviously, Rob Reiner is a big liberal, big liberal. He could have tried to mend fences, but the president of the United States chose anger, chose hatred instead. And then in his press conference later on in the day, yesterday, he didn’t do anything great for the country, he wasn’t good for the country.
Wasn’t good for the country.
I’ll do respect. Do you ever check out this man’s body of work? I I referenced him last week from Spinal Tap. I mean, you want to go through the films that he was either in, involved with, directed, acted in, television shows, you name it, from All in the Family to When Harry Met Sally, Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, I would go on and on and on down the list.
(05:35.154)
Unbelievable, unbelievable pieces of, and again, you’re going to say something. mean, you can’t take that away from him. Here’s a guy that, and he was out in front with his son’s problems with substance abuse, tried to help him, did a movie about it to be killed by his own kid. And you’re talking about this like it’s Trump derangement.
Syndrome. So yeah, I was very, very angry at first because again, this is a president where he had an opportunity. God gave him an opportunity. And he, rather than to serve God, because you think God wanted him to put this statement out? Did you really believe that? He chose instead, rather than to serve God, he chose to serve himself.
Trump in the calculated manner that he is said, you know what? I’m gonna throw up some more red meat. I’m gonna throw some more red meat to my base. You know I’m thinking of right now? Think of that scene in Romancing the Stone where you got the crocodiles that are sitting down there in the pit and they’re throwing a meat all the time. Take a look at them snappers.
Let’s throw some more red meat to the maggot
(07:09.096)
I’m gonna ask you people that think that this is okay. What if your kid…
What if you’re child?
in this manner. You approve of that?
You’re okay with that.
I actually said, I prayed for Trump. I sat and I reflected. I get up three hours in the morning this morning and trying to get my arms around that. This is a guy that needs everyone’s prayers at this point in time. It reminded me of the Grinch.
(07:57.57)
The Grinch, yeah, you remember towards the end of The Grinch, and again, I used Dr. Seuss from time to time in my columns and whatnot. Towards the end, it’s like, well in Whoville, they say that the Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day.
You gotta, we gotta pray for, for Donald Trump and his heart because it’s cold.
It’s brutally cold. I agree with the statements that Rob Reiner made and some things he put out without a doubt were over the top. But even, and again, people in Hollywood that are on the right, the James Woods of the world, are like, he was a wonderful guy. Friends with him. People on the right who had met with him in green rooms before they went on.
What a wonderful warm guy all this I why
(09:04.78)
Why? And you people that are around Trump?
You don’t call him out on something like this?
You don’t? And again, you gotta think about maybe just how lonely Donald Trump is.
how alone this man must be, that he has no one in his circle that’s gonna stand up to him and put him in his place and say, man, you’re wrong here. This is wrong. Here is an opportunity where we have a fractured country. You can bring them together, but you know what? You’re gonna choose to inflame the situation. And this just goes out to both people on the left and right.
I mean, we have to do better. We have to do better. I was disgusted with some of the crap that came out from the left when… Of course.
(10:05.752)
But again, you feel sorry for these people because how cold their heart must be to say something like that, to act in such a way.
Anyway, God have mercy on the Reiner’s souls and the family and all of the people that.
he was close with that are grieving at this point in time. That’s all, quite frankly, this should be about. Watchdogonwallstreet.com.
