The Truth Hurts but Here’s Why We Need It
(00:00.878)
Welcome everybody, serving up poop sandwiches. Ever hear of a poop sandwich? Well, I learned it some time ago, actually, when I was coaching kids, when you’re to, in essence, try to teach them or be critical of them. You’re supposed to start with the compliment, then you’re supposed to criticize, then you’re supposed to compliment, again, serving up a poop sandwich. And I’ve been told I should make an attempt to try to do that a little bit more when I’m being…
critical of the president’s policies? I guess. Again, one of things I try to get across here on the program is that I’m going to be brutally honest with everybody. For years on the radio show, I always said, I’m not Mary Poppins. There’s no spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down. I really don’t sugar coat things. My effort, our modus operandi at this program, and when we originally started,
watched on the Wall Street show, it was a radio show 25 years ago, is always looking out for the individual investor. My listeners, my clients, first and foremost, it’s not about politicians and we’re equal opportunity bashers here on the program. And we’re gonna continue to do so. It’s important, it’s important that you remain independent. It’s important that you don’t, I don’t pick sides. I’m not a member of a political party. You know what?
my principles are, what I stand for, and I’m not gonna deviate from that. Many times we’ve got offers, politicians want to come on this program. We don’t do that. We don’t do any of that, quite frankly. It’s not something that we’re gonna ever really delve into. We’re gonna comment on what’s out there. And what I suggest to people who don’t like the fact that I’m going after their political party, their candidate, their president, whatever it may be,
Challenge me, challenge me on the facts. You might not like what I have to say, but if you’re going to, if you’re going to come after me, yeah, the, the name calling and stuff, I’m just going to be ignored. It doesn’t bother me at all. but I welcome it. that’s the thing about debates. I tried to explain, so it was actually interviewed about this today. when I’m debating,

someone or having a conversation with someone about a certain topic. It’s not about trying to win the debate. It’s not a contest. Okay. It’s about trying to come to some sort of me in the minds to try to figure out some sort of truth. When you think about this, you you were back in sixth grade and we learned about the scientific method. Um, what are you trying to do? You’re trying to disprove your theory that that’s
the whole process for crying out loud. You’re trying to, you know, you have an idea, you got to try to disprove it. And if you can’t disprove it, then well gee whiz, then your theory is, is accurate. But if you can disprove it, you’re still moving in the right direction because you’ve actually learned something. we’re always going to be the same when it comes to that. you know, you don’t criticize Trump. You criticize Trump too much. Well, again, I’m critical of his policies and I lay it out here and.
as simple as terms as possible. And again, you don’t have to agree, but again, I welcome the debate. I welcome the challenge. We try to lay things out here, like again, as simply as we possibly can. It’s not about, know, and this is one of the things that I keep getting from people all the time. Just let everything play out. Why? Why would I let…
things play out that I know are going to be disastrous. It’s not my first rodeo, but doing this for a very long period of time. Anyway, with that being said, I’m going to be on the road. Watchdog on Wall Street is going to be on the road for the entire month of June. I’m in beautiful Long Island right now. It’s actually gorgeous outside, but I’m going to continue. We’re going to continue to do podcasts around the road, visiting clients, going to do a little bit of vacation, a myriad of different things, broadcasting from interesting
locations around the globe over the course of the month. Have good one. Watchdog on wallstreet.com
