Should We Break up Boeing??
(00:00.078)
I’m repeating myself from several years ago, four plus years ago, break up Boeing. It’s not the first time I’ve said this and why I often have to repeat myself is again, nobody listens. Nobody listens. I know Boeing is not going to be broken up unless it becomes a national issue, a political issue, a campaign issue. Unfortunately, both.
both parties, they both Don Finucci this thing. This is a wet your beak company for the powers that be in Washington DC. And now what we’ve got quite frankly is a national, not just a national, it’s a global embarrassment. One thing after another. I want to remind everybody, let’s go back to 2020 where we got all sorts of information.
after the 737 MAX crashes and how Boeing employees were mocking federal rules. And then I talked about deceiving regulators and joked about the flaws in the 737 MAX as it was deployed. And one of the people said, I still haven’t been forgiven by God for the covering up I did last year. This is a 2018 message.
and this interactions with the FAA. What was the other one of the lines as well is that the plane was designed by clowns. Airplane is designed by clowns who are in turn supervised by monkeys. That was in a email exchange, Boeing employees back from 2017. I would encourage people to take a look. You can Google this Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera actually got somebody inside the South Carolina Boeing plant with a hidden camera talking with employees that are putting these airplanes together. And the majority of these employees said that they wouldn’t get on one of these planes. They wouldn’t put their families on these planes. Not to mention the fact they’re talking about the rampant drug use that takes place.

at the Boeing facility. It’s saying things, yeah, we can get great weed here, man. Fantastic weed. Some of the other drugs are doing cocaine and other things. This is happening on an assembly line that’s making airplanes in South Carolina. Marker, yeah, proud to be an American. Right. This is an American champion company, right? Meanwhile, we’ve got incident after incident.
Another Boeing plane suffered a mid -air fuel leak. We had the tire fall off another one. We had a plane drop from the sky. People get hurt and basically went to the ceilings. They don’t know why. It wasn’t weather by any stretch of the imagination. One thing after another, United Airlines just told Boeing today to stop making the Max 10s that the company ordered and just get us the Max 9s.
Airlines, they, you know, it’s just, again, this is a major issue for this country, major issue for airlines. They need planes. They need planes. Southwest yesterday, I think their stock dropped by like 15%, said, hey, listen, we’re gonna have to lower our guidance because we’re not getting airplanes. We can’t increase capacity because we can’t get airplanes delivered.
couple this the fact that gee whiz you had a Boeing whistleblower that mysterious death in Charleston, South Carolina was testified was in between depositions as a matter of fact and all of a sudden he decided to commit suicide and nobody knows why they said he was in good spirits everything was great.
I don’t know. Did somebody from Boeing call up the Clintons and ask for their cleaning crew?
(04:19.534)
Again, I don’t know, but is it fishy? Absolutely.
You got to understand what Boeing is. This is why I said the company needs to be broken up many, many, many moons ago. It’s not even for all intents and purpose, not even like a real company. If you want to think it is so tied into the government, we’ve talked about regulatory capture, right? It is so tied into the government. 40 % of its revenues come from government.
contracts. And again, it is a landing spot for politicians, higher ups in the military, after they’ve served in Washington or they’ve served wherever it may be in the military, they find landing spots at Boeing. Take a look at their board of directors. They’re not an engineer on there for crying out loud. You get former CEOs of insurance companies.
and accounting firms and all this other crap. You got any sort of aeronautical engineers, anything like that? No. No. Again, it is, right now it’s a disaster. This is the second worst performer so far in the S &P 500 this year, what’s down almost 30%. So let’s.
Let’s take a look at this, where we’re at and what can we do here? First and foremost, again, Boeing is an institution. It’s an institution, not a good one. Not a good one. It’s again, it’s almost like a utility if you want to think about it and it’s posing as some sort of private enterprise. And again, the incestuous relationship between the government,
(06:20.942)
And this company, not to mention the regulators as well, causing some problems. They allow the FAA, and they’re saying this is due to underfunding, whatever. They allow Boeing to self -regulate. The FAA administrator this week was shocked, shocked to find that Boeing has failed half of its audits of its production facility.
Yeah, this is what Boeing has to say. They’re working diligently. They’re kind of like Raiders in the Lost Ark. They got top men working on it right now. Based on the FAA audit, our quality stand downs in the recent expert panel report, we continue to implement immediate changes and develop a comprehensive action plan to strengthen safety and quality and build the confidence of our customers and their passengers. We are.
squarely focused on taking significant demonstrated action with transparency at every turn. Spare me.
Okay. Again, this company right now, in essence, is like we’ve told you for some time, in essence, is too big to fail. It’s too big to fail and that is a problem. There was an article about it and CNN actually pointed out that the company is actually, they call it a duopoly rather than a monopoly because who’s its competitor? It’s…
Airbus European rival. But it’s not a true competition. Boeing, obviously its main customers are airlines and they can’t all of a sudden, it’s not an easy thing to do and say, hey, you know what, I just want to switch over to Airbus. Pilots are certified in one or the other. So once you make your choice, you’re pretty much stuck with it. Now, again,
(08:27.15)
Being a Boeing, you’re immune to regular market forces like consumer choice, that other companies have to contend with the stay in business. And again, because of its size and who it is, you can’t get rid of it. So how do you solve the problem? Now, first and foremost, and there was in the CNN article, I cited a professor from University of Pennsylvania. The guy’s name was.
Gad Alan, he said you got to fire everyone at the top. And I agree. All of you got a clean house in that company. Clean house as far as the C -suite is concerned. Board of Directors, everybody must go. An idea that was floated out there is, oh, nationalize Boeing. Make it like a utility. No. No, you don’t nationalize Boeing.
Part of the problem we’re dealing with today is because it’s too tied in to government.
What we need to do, in my opinion, and again, I think this would be a winner. I think it’s a winner. I think if Donald Trump came out, he wanted to make a statement when it comes to Boeing. But I don’t know. I mean, he might be afraid to do this too. Again, the amount of people that are tied into this company. Remember, Nikki Haley was on their board not too long ago. You find a way to break the company up.
Break the company up and yeah, I’m talking about whacking shareholders on this one. Whacking shareholders in the short term and allowing, again, we’ve got companies that in this country that could do this. You know, why not talk to Apple? You know, why not talk to other companies that run very, very tight ships?
(10:28.942)
especially when it comes to quality control. Why not bring in some of these companies to see what they could do in regards to taking this over? And again, you need to spin off your defense business. Defense business needs to be something completely separate from its commercial airline business. And you got to start from scratch. I mean, any other company based upon what has taken place with Boeing, what we’ve seen.
over the past 10 years wouldn’t exist.
wouldn’t exist. The fact that this company is still around in its present form, like I said, it’s not just a national embarrassment, it is a global embarrassment. Watchdog on wallstreet .com.
