MSNBC Has a Fascist Meltdown!
(00:00.658)
No surprise here. MSNBC had a meltdown yesterday, last night on the program, and it was a fascist meltdown. They love throwing those words around and threat to democracy. And we’ve talked about it before. Did you watch any of the coverage of the Hawkeye last night? Not a lick. You know.
I find myself watching more football nowadays. I’m not a, why don’t watch a lot of sports on TV, but man oh man, I’d rather watch a football game, even if it’s a bad football game, rather than watch these idiots on TV. But anyway, neither here nor there. Yep, this is what we can expect. This is why I don’t watch it really much anymore, because it’s nonsensical.
Rachel Maddow complained about a rise of fascism after Donald Trump won the Iowa caucus. Rise of fascism. If we’re worried about our democracy falling to an authoritarian and potentially fascist form of government, the leader who is trying to do that is part of that equation, is a much bigger part of that.
equation. And anyway, it was I mean, Joy Reed declared that white Christians, white Christians are racists who want minorities to bow down to them.
Yeah, so all the things that we think about, about electability, about what are people gaming out, but none of that matters when you believe that God has given you this country, that it is yours, and that everyone who is not a white conservative Christian is a fraudulent American, is a less real American. Then you don’t care about electability, you care about what God has given you.
(02:15.47)
She later added, it is a religion and I think what we have to actually confront, and this is what Democrats are going to face, is that this is now what white evangelical, evangelicalism is. It is Christian nationalism. That’s the name of it, right? It is all a part of white evangelical Christians of a certain mindset that they own this country, that immigrants, that brown people.
that Hindus like Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife are illegitimate Americans. They are less legitimate Americans than they are. They’re not trying to convince people and win people over through politics. What they’re saying is we own this country and everyone will bow down to us.
(03:05.182)
Um this is uh this is MSNBC last night. Uh and again I don’t know I couldn’t tell you if they actually believe what they’re saying or they’re just trying to get the people going and rev up their base. I don’t know how many people were watching MSNBC last night. I could tell you a hell lot more watching football. That’s that’s for darn.
sure. I want to talk a little because they throw this term around. They throw the word fascism around all the time. And as a as a dyed in the wool capitalist, again sometimes these terms people don’t understand what they mean and they throw them around and they hear the word fascist and what comes to mind is Adolf Hitler or
Mussolini. Fascism has a lot more in common with socialism than it does the free market, which we espouse here on this program, which this country is supposed to be about, a capitalist society. Again, you get all of the irony thing is all these leftists out there talking about government intervention in everything that in of itself
is fascist, if you will. Let’s start to talk a little bit about this, some key elements of fascism. Yeah, idealism is a part of it. Centralized government. Centralized government is key for fascism and again we have drifted away from our founding
documents and the 10th amendment of the constitution with states’ rights. Planned economy. Planned economy is most certainly a very big part of fascism slash socialism. Is it not? Now, let me ask you a question. What do you think the CHIPS Act is? What do you think the Inflation Reduction Act is? What do you think?
(05:27.746)
Barack Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is. And again, I just named a few things, but if you don’t think that, you don’t think Republicans get involved in this too, they do as well. We mentioned yesterday, we’re talking about ethanol. George W. Bush and his ethanol mandates, that has elements of socialism and fascism. Planned economy.
And how often we talk about the dangers of a planned economy. The basic ideas in regards to fascism is a union between businesses and the state and the state, in essence, telling businesses what to do. How often here on the program over the years, over the decades, have I yelled and screamed when you get politicians on both the left and right?
talk about, oh, this is gonna be great. This is gonna be, we gotta have a public-private partnership and government’s gonna work with the private sector to achieve this. As soon as I hear that, I’m like, run.
This is going to be bad. It’s not going to work. You’re going to get taxpayer money involved. Cronyism is going to be involved. It is a disaster. And it’s not how our country is supposed to operate. But yet it does.
Yet it does. Again, that was very much the case with corporatism under Mussolini in Italy and national socialism in Germany. National socialism, Nazi. OK? Same thing. Private property. Oh, yeah, but Chris, yeah, you can own property here. Well, you fascism, you can own property and fascist.
(07:24.878)
Again, it’s contingent. It’s contingent upon, you know, you following the rules. And guess what? State can take it. We have eminent domain here in this country. Not to mention the fact it’s nominally permitted. And I’ve gone over this before here on the program. You never own. Never own your own property. You never own.
(07:52.522)
You know, my house. My house, you know, I take great deal of pride in my house. I take care of it. You say it’s my home. What happens? What happens if you stop paying your property taxes? You never own your own property? You stop paying taxes on it? Government’s gonna take it!
(08:16.478)
It’s good. They’re going to take it. That’s again, it’s how messed up our think about our tax system is here in this country. You never really own your own property. I paid off my mortgage. That’s nice. What if you stop paying your taxes? They’re going to take your house. Anyway, Yeah, economic coordination fascism.
Businesses are nominally privately owned. The state dictates outputs and investments. Planning is based on projected labor output rather than money. Does that sound familiar? You guys heard the term shovel-ready jobs?
Yeah, I mean, we’re not as far down the road as a completely fascist society or socialist society, but the elements are certainly there. The seeds have most certainly been planted without a doubt. Class structure. Class structure believed to be necessary to prevent chaos. Do we have a class structure here in the United States? Most certainly.
Most certainly we have a class structure here in the United States. There’s no doubt about that. Anyone who denies that is crazy. Of course we do. There’s a reason why we have Ivy League schools. And it’s that’s the reality. Take a look at Washington and where they come out. It’s we have a class structure here in the United States. There’s no doubting it. Again, that was more the case under Mussolini rather than Hitler. Hitler was more based, obviously, upon race.
An extremely nationalistic authoritarian state is usually led by one person at the head of one party. No democratic election of representatives, no free market, no individualism or individual glory. The state controls the press and or other media. Now we’re not that far down the line by any stretch. And the idea this is they’re going to keep throwing around these fascist Trump and his fascist tendencies. No, Trump likes to work the media as best as he possibly.
(10:19.918)
can, but you know how many things did Donald Trump tried to institute when he was president and was shot down based upon that we do have elected representatives. But again, you know, it’s the human nature gets attracted to these types of individuals. They weren’t with Barack Obama. Hope and change. Remember that entire hope and change campaign for crying out loud. I don’t think I ever saw a.
president, at least in my time, that was given the absolute free ride by the press could do basically everyone when he first came into office like Barack Obama. It was extraordinary. Ownership structure. The means of productions are nominally privately owned but directed by the state. Private ownership of the business is contingent upon the submission to the direction and interests of the state. Now that’s not the case
in everything, but there’s a reason why we have this regulatory state within the executive branch of government.
There’s a reason why I mean, you know, there’s a reason why I have to spend more and more money every single year in regulations and handling, you know, complying with government regulations, most of which have nothing to do with me whatsoever. Not to mention, I mean, you think about certain industries, think about the auto industry. Yeah, their business hasn’t been dictated from Washington DC and how they got to go about doing their business isn’t dictated by them. Of course it is.
You either comply or guess what? You’re gonna get eliminated. So no, are we full on fascist when it comes to that? Are we on that road? Absolutely.
(12:12.286)
Absolutely. And of course, you know, again, fascist governments are what? Large public works projects. That’s right. Large public deficit spending. Are a large part of fascist governments. And guess what? We’re there, too. So again, I, you know, it’s MSNBC. So you take it with a grain of salt.
I mean, they’re so far off the deep end. It’s ridiculous. Again, no. Do I think Donald Trump is a fascist by any stretch of the imagination? No. I think we need to be pushing back like we have here on the program against these fascist, socialistic tendencies that have become more and more ingrained with our everyday lives here. We’ve just grown accustomed to them.
because they’re around us all the time. But anyway, MSNBC meltdown, boy, we got a, what, when’s that, November? We’re gonna be dealing with this till November? Merciful. Anyway, hey, oh, by the way, by the way, oh, my podcast people remind me to do this. I should do this, and I don’t like to ask people to do things, they said. You gotta remind people at the end. Listen, you enjoy the podcast?
We’re growing like gangbusters. Recommend it to your friends on the podcast side, whether you’re YouTube or Apple, whatever it may be. Give it a rating, be honest. We want to write a review of it. We appreciate that, but most importantly, subscribe. That’s big. Again, the algorithms, what I gotta deal with. That’s what I deal with nowadays. I gotta deal with algorithms. The algorithms like that, they do. And one of the best things about…
One of the reasons why we’re doing so well in regards to our algorithms is people listen to the entire show, which is great. Yeah, algorithms like that. But again, they also like it if ratings and subscribe and all that good stuff. Anyway, God bless, have a great day. We’ll see you.
