Luigi Mangione’s Very Scary Murder Trial
(00:01.154)
Luigi Mangione’s very scary murder trial. This has me concerned, has me concerned and in more ways than one. First and foremost, I’m very concerned that this is going to turn into an O.J. Simpson’s-esque type of circus, but with much, much
worse consequences. And let me explain why. Most Americans, this is the Wall Street Journal today from the AP. Most Americans believe health insurance profits and coverage denials share responsibility for the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO. Although not as much as the person who pulled the trigger, not as much. Survey.
Eight in 10 US adults said the person who committed the killing has a great deal or moderate amount of responsibility. Great deal or moderate amount. Many people are, again, we’re putting Luigi Mangione out as a heroic figure and we’re seeing it out there.
Do you understand the consequences?

consequences of Luigi Mangione caught on tape, caught on tape, assassinating somebody in the streets of Manhattan. If he gets off.

did you have any idea what that would mean?
Basically, I mean, we got enough left-wing whack jobs here in this country that they’re going to feel justified.
and kill anybody, you would have precedent.
You would have precedent here in the United States of America saying that it’s okay to murder someone if you don’t like their business or business practices.
I mean, this is right out of that, you know, right out of that Batman movie there with Bane and everybody, you know, just assassinating, you know, various different people that are successful and doing well. Do you understand the consequences, because I don’t hear anybody really talking about it.

I don’t know.
He did go, he put in his plea and not guilty. Unless he’s actually, mean, his defense, if he’s saying, that wasn’t me, that wasn’t me, I didn’t do it. I didn’t do it, somebody else was there and he gets off. If his attorney
is able to convince a jury, and I don’t know what his defense is going to be, convince a jury that he is justified.
justified in killing a CEO because you don’t like that CEO, don’t like UnitedHealthcare, you don’t like their business practices.
I don’t know what to tell you. would, again, I’ll give you my take right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if his attorney is actually presenting this and saying, listen, okay, listen, I know you may wanna win here, but you may wanna plead this down. You wanna plead this down. you really want the repercussions?

if I get this off, this is again, this is different. This is different than OJ Simpson getting off. This goes in the wrong direction. It could get pretty ugly out there. Something to ponder. Watchdogonwallstreet.com.
