Let the Corrupt News Media Die
(00:00.366)
Let the news media die. The sooner the better. We’re being told that, you know, without journalists, without newspapers, without the news media, our country, well, it’s not going to survive. We need to have a functioning news media, functioning press in order to operate. Well, that might be true, but we don’t have a functioning press. We don’t have a news
media. It’s a disaster. It’s a joke. And you’re going to see today and next several day stories and I’m going to cover just the type of nonsense. And you know, just not even the next couple days and some of the things we’re going to go over. But you can go back years. You can go back to the run up to wars, whether it be, you know, the run up to the war in Iraq and the complete
Yeah, everybody got to get on the same page. New York Times, Wall Street Journal, basically doing the bidding of the people that are in power. This headline today, this headline today kicked me in the butt. I said, this is why we’re going to head in this direction. This is from the New York Times. The road to a crisis. How Democrats let Biden glide to renomination. How Democrats?
Let Biden glide to renomination? Democrats.
No, that was you. That was you. You weren’t doing your job, were you? You weren’t doing your job. I mean, we all, anybody with half a brain could see what was going on. You mean to tell me? You mean to tell me that you people in these newspapers, these publications around the country, you didn’t know what was taking place?
(02:01.134)
You’re lying to us. This is where you get your information. You have a zillion different sources. You’ve been running cover for the president of the United States for crying out loud. And Jill Biden’s going to be on the cover of Vogue magazine. They don’t know. You just held a major Hollywood fundraiser. You didn’t see what was taking place right there. Democrats? No, no, no. People.
Again, you know, I’m gonna have to start paying the Carlin family because I keep using his line. You know, it’s a big club and you and I ain’t in it. Big business, politicians, media, the press, working hand in hand to serve their own needs. You mean to tell me, you mean to tell me the news, media? They didn’t know, they didn’t know that the whole steel document with
Trump back in 2016 was a farce. They didn’t know. You need to tell me they couldn’t figure it out. Looked into the fact that that whole, that 51 was it experts? Yes, experts, CIA experts, FBI, foreign intelligence experts signing off on the Hunter Biden laptop that it was Russia disinformation. You need to tell me they didn’t know.
Of course they did. You mean to tell me they haven’t been able to figure out? We pointed it out right here on the program. I get to see a single publication, including the Wall Street Journal, point out that the fact that those same Nobel laureate economists talking about Trump’s economic policy is going to lead to crazy inflation were the same economists that said that Biden’s policies were going to lead to disinflation. Not one story.
So yes, you got uprisings, it was a Washington Post, they didn’t like the new editor that was coming in, didn’t like the changes that were made. They’re not journalists, okay? They’re not. I’ve gone over this, I’ve talked about one of my favorite English classes that I had back in high school, my journalism class, Mr. Smith, and I learned more in that.
(04:27.054)
that half a year class for crying out loud. It was an elective. Learn more than these people know today. They’re pushing an agenda. We don’t have a news media. So don’t lament the fact that it’s going away. You’re gonna get better information, get better information off Substack from guys like Glenn Greenwald, from guys like Matt Tybee. And yeah, there’s some guys with opinion bents to them, but doesn’t mean that they’re wrong.
I don’t always agree with Tucker Carlson, but he does bring some interesting ideas today. He does question things. I’m going to go over a couple of stories today, a couple of podcasts. This is Wall Street Journal.
Wall Street Journal and it’s there. Basically, there are front page stories that read like an editorial. Pushing an agenda. That’s not your job. That’s not what you’re supposed to do. I remember this coming to my head, it was I think was on Limbaugh’s program years and years and years ago, making fun of journalists and the way things were going. And they were doing interviewing kids.
Why all you want to go into journalism? Why do you want to be a journalist? Because I want to change the world! that’s not your job.
That’s not your job. That’s like, you know, that’s like an umpire. So why do you want to get involved in being an umpire? Well, you know, cause I want to lead the league at home runs. no, you’re an umpire. Okay. You’re not Aaron judge.
(06:07.79)
So again, your job is to report on what happens, to bring facts. Your job is not to change the world. You take your personal opinions and the biases that we all have, and a good journalist will take those and put those aside and report the story.
But what we’re watching today and how, my God, what are we gonna do in a media like this? This is terrible. You go back and I watched that ridiculous. You want to talk about it? Did you take a look at the panel that they had at CNN? What was there? 10 of them up there? 12? I don’t know. I don’t know how many people they had at that panel there, at the debate panel at one time.
and they’re all acting like they didn’t know. I mean, I know David Axelrod had made comments in the past, but he was like, geez, I didn’t know it was this bad. No, you did know.
You did know, we all knew, anybody with half a brain knew. And you people should be ashamed of yourself. But they’re not, they’re not. They had to get nice checks, they get paid well. You become a paid contributor to one of these networks and what your job is is to show up and to give a certain opinion. They’re counting on you to fill that role. You are typecast.
if you will. You know, some actors and actresses, well, you know, I don’t want to get typecast as a role or they’ll complain, I took this role and then forever people think of me as a villain or whatever it may be. That’s their job. That’s what these paid contributors are. They’re there to fill a role. And I’ve told this story before. Yeah, but it’s worth worth telling again. I was just well, maybe.
(08:13.134)
10 years ago, 12 years ago, I can’t remember. I can’t, I can go back, I can find the videos from back in the day. I invited on Fox News late in the afternoon and I was there to debate social security. Yeah, it’s a topic that I’ve covered here often on the program and the need to fix social security. And they had some liberal professor from Occidental.
California. She was on via video stream. And I remember the producers, she was attractive, they were calling her Professor Hottie. And it was myself, I don’t remember. And it was also in Bob Beckill. So it was like me against two at the same time. And I’m sitting with Bob Beckill, sitting with Bob Beckill in the green room and Bob Beckill, remember Bob Beckill from Fox News? He was a very bombastic, left wing guy. Very nice guy. Didn’t know a damn thing about social security told me
told me, could you explain this to me? And I tried to explain to him and, well, I don’t know, again, I don’t have a problem debating, letting him know what direction I’m gonna be heading, and my thoughts were, he got bored quickly, sorry to me to bore him, he wanted to talk about the book that he was reading, which was Keith Richards’ book that was out. In that very same room, on that very same room, there was two lawyers,
I don’t remember what they were going on to debate. They were going on Megyn Kelly’s program in the green room and they were actually working out their argument, working out their argument in the green room. Like you say this and then I’ll say this. Again, and I always bring up, it was like that scene from the fantastic movie, The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke where the wrestlers are, you know, professional wrestlers are working out what the routine is gonna be in the ring.
This is what you’re dealing with. And again, that was 10, 12 years ago. Now?
(10:16.238)
It’s a joke, people. And again, everyone, everyone, everyone out there, and it’s something you gotta teach kids. You gotta be a critical thinker. You gotta learn to use your own senses to kind of see through all of the bull excrement that’s out there. Again, I pick up a story right away and I’m saying, this is a front page story of, well, again, it used to be obvious in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal.
Front page articles, reading like opinion pieces. Again, the sooner journals, the sooner the media just falls the hell apart, maybe we can start over, start fresh. Again, and I’m gonna give kudos here. I find myself, because I don’t watch Kemos, but when I do, it’s not, I mean, I’m gravitating over to there’s that new network, News Nation, where they’re actually trying.
They’re trying, and I got there a couple of their opinion guys, actually Chris Cuomo’s on that thing too. But their new stuff during the day, what I notice is just if they’re gonna have a debate when it comes to something, they try to even it out as best they possibly can. I don’t know, we’ll see what happens. Watchdog on wallstreet .com.
