Great Britain Is a Joke

Another story you can file under Don’t Doubt Me. Great Britain is a joke. And I’m not talking about all that crap with the royal family. I’m talking the country as a whole is a disaster. And it’s a shame. It’s a shame. I was pretty excited about Brexit and what was taking place in the UK going back to 2016 and the possibilities that were there.
The people decided, hey, we were sick and tired of, of cow towing to Brussels and all the rules and regulations and nonsense. So they break apart from the European union for that reason. And then they decided to go all in big government last year, but over a year ago, um, the conservative government put in someone by the name of Liz truss.
We talked about this here on the podcast. We talked about it on a radio show. And I was very, very happy with her and what she was planning. She was planning on cutting taxes and trying to basically try to stimulate the UK economy, getting out of the way of businesses, pulling back on all of the green nonsense that they had put forward. Well, there was an initial reaction.
initial reaction in their bond market having to do with their pensions. It really didn’t have much to do what she was saying. But again, the media and other people in the Conservative Party in the UK that wanted power seized upon that and they kicked her out of office within 49 days. And she was replaced by this Rishi Sunak. And right now he is losing by double digits to the labor.
party in the UK. The UK has entered into a recession. They had two quarters of negative economic growth. Sunak and his Treasury Secretary Jeremy Hunt, they call it the Chancellor of the Executre. They they screwed up royally. They screwed up royally. They came into power, they went to get Liz Truss out of there, we’re going to be responsible.

We’re going to be responsible. We’re going to balance the government’s budget. Basically, what they did was they raised taxes in the UK. How do you raise taxes and bring an economy back to growth? This is post -COVID. So now the people in the UK have higher taxes and they have no growth. No growth. Tax revenue in the UK, 36%.
of their GDP is the highest since the aftermath of World War Two. I keep thinking about that kink song there, living on a thin line where there is no England now. Remember they used that in the Sopranos back in the day. They’re in deep doo -doo. Labor Party looks like that they’re going to end up sweeping in and rightfully so. And they’ll continue to drive it in the wrong.
direction. What is it about? I mean, again, they use the phrase conservative, that you don’t understand, that you really can’t seem to get your arms around. Either you’re going to follow conservative principles, or you’re not going to follow conservative principles. You try to
You try to kowtow to everyone. Oh, I want to please this group. I want to please that group. Oh, we got to get to the working class people in the north like these guys were trying to do in theUK. How did that work out for you? Fail. Scan. Making the UK a bit of a joke. Watchdog on wallstreet .com.
