For me, this is just, I’m sorry, it’s a no brainer. Ron DeSantis, no brainer, should be the next president of the United States. I need go back. Remember Sean Hannity had that little debate between DeSantis and Newsom? DeSantis cleaned his clock. It wasn’t even, honestly, it wasn’t even a fair fight for crying out loud. Again.
I got to go back. He was my choice, my choice. President last time around. And the Republican establishment in the magas pushed him out and tried to, you know, say all sorts of horrible things about him, whatever it may be. And again, he’s he’s not the type you need to get into the he’s not going to win an insult game with Donald Trump. It’s just the way it is. And I guess many people played into that.
I want to go over just some of the latest numbers here out of again, I’m biased. This is my state. One hundred and seventeen billion dollar budget that he has proposed for twenty twenty six twenty seven. One hundred and seventeen billion dollars is less than New York City’s annual budget. Florida has 15 million more people. It’s a hundred billion dollars less than the state of New York’s.
budget, $100 billion less. Florida has more residents. We have the lowest number of state government workers per capita. We are either the lowest or the second lowest in state spending per capita of all 50 states. Let just put this in a perspective with where some of the money is going. 118
million dollars is basically filling up the Florida’s rainy day fund. Constitution here in the state of Florida, they have a rainy day fund, but it can’t exceed $5 billion. We have a $5 billion rainy day fund, $250 million and reoccurring accelerated debt repayment to pay down over 50 % of Florida’s total tax supported debt by 2026 27.
