$23 Million Homeless Charity Scam Exposes the LA Grift
(00:00.814)
Charity Incorporated, story out of Los Angeles, California. This is how, this is where your tax dollars go. This is how your tax dollars are wasted. And yes, you should be bloody disgusted. The CEO of a Los Angeles Homeless Services charity, facing federal and state fraud charges. They found out that he lived a luxury lifestyle, lavish vacations,
designer clothes. He got $23 million of your money. $23 million of your money. That money was supposed to be used to help and keep people off the streets of Los Angeles. $7 million home. His nonprofit nonprofit
Abundant Blessings was what it was called. Again, it was contracted with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority to use taxpayer money to find shelter and provide three meals a day for more than 600 homeless residents. Oh, yeah. $125,000 Range Rover, $2,500 Hermes jacket, vacation home in Greece, trips to Hawaii.
at the Four Seasons Hotel. We can go on and on and on falsified invoices saying he was serving fresh meals and renting out rooms while homeless people were instead fed canned beans and bulk packs of microwavable ramen noodles. I can go on. I

This is what happens, you if you actually want to take a look at this, I don’t know how far this is gonna go. Probably what will happen is he’ll probably, he’ll probably plea out, plea out and keep his mouth shut. He obviously received this contract because he knew somebody, knew somebody, that’s how it works. This is how the grift worked, this is how we are.
perpetually fleeced of our taxpayer dollars on regular basis. Again, I
Maybe I’m different, but every single time I go to Washington DC or drive by Washington DC, I feel like I got to take about 10 showers. Because I know. I know what happens with our money. I know how it’s passed from one person to the next and everybody’s taking their little vig here, there. NGOs, not nonprofits, charities. I ran a pretty big nonprofit for a period of time.
And yeah, it was a nonprofit. Meaning nobody made a dime. We were there to basically help kids. Help kids, athletics, lacrosse. I wouldn’t take it. It’s a nonprofit. You take a look at some of these nonprofits. These massive nonprofits, not just nonprofits, you look at the type of salaries.
that these people make running these things. And again, they do the same thing, talk about colleges and universities in the graph that takes place there as well. It’s awful. But again, isn’t this the job? Isn’t this the job of the city of Los Angeles to take care of their homeless? They’re gonna pick and choose various little groups that they’re gonna contract this out to and there’s no oversight.

You just say here you’ve got it and you don’t even take a look and follow up on what’s going on. The point is, that nobody cares. Nobody cares. They don’t look at it. It’s not their money. It’s coming from somebody else. For the life of me, don’t get these people. I don’t know how they live with themselves. When you’re dealing with other people’s money, that’s a taxpayer money.
Shouldn’t you make sure 10 times over that you’re being a good steward of that money? Yeah, there’s going to be crooks and criminals everywhere. You know, we watching what just took place in Minnesota and I laugh, quite frankly. I laugh because again, it was. Big time fraud, billions of dollars, Somali community. They figured it out. What you don’t think the same thing that isn’t happening in Brighton Beach.
In New York? Come on, Yeah, I’m like Medicare fraud takes place in the state of Florida. It’s everywhere. It’s everywhere and it continues on, continues on because government workers don’t give a damn. They’re not going to follow up. It’s why work? Why work extra hard? Again, I’m not saying that they don’t have any incentive to do so.
God, I made this suggestion years ago. said that, you know, whole different type of government workers, you need government workers that actually going around looking to root out waste and fraud and get a commission based on it. I know we got these whistleblower things that we’ve got going on here in the country. No, no, no, no, no. We need whistleblowers within government. Not even whistleblowers.
as people going around getting paid based upon every dime they save the taxpayer. This is what is this? How much was this fraud? Twenty three million dollars small potatoes. Small. How many more? How many more contracts were handed out to connected people within the city of Los Angeles? Again, to.
