The mainstream media is an integral spoke in our “Watchdog on Wall Street Axis of Evil,” working hand in hand with crony capitalists and the crooked politicians at the helm of our dysfunctional bureaucracy and weakening republic. The relationship between the three is symbiotic and beneficial to their own existence and needs, but a pox on ours. The media is the vital spoke in the axis that convinces people to not trust their own instincts, and instead put faith in them and the politicians and corporations that they protect. They media can turn a lie into a truth. They influence opinion. They tell people what to think and how to think. They willingly keep people in the dark.
Plato in his Allegory of the Cave from his work The Republic describes a group of people that are assembled and chained to the wall of a cave for their entire lives with their eyes fixated on a blank cave wall. The people watch shadows that are projected on to the wall by events transpiring behind them in front of a fire. The shadows are all the people know. It is their reality. Plato explains that individuals need to free themselves from their cave and learn that the shadows on the wall are not reality, and to perceive the world as it really is. Too many people today are watching shadows on a cave wall; the shadows are provided and produced by the mainstream media.
Richard Stengel, the top editor of Time magazine for the past seven years, is going to leave his post preaching the gospel of big government and love of all things Obama, to take a position in government. Shocker! He will become Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, which is basically a cultural attaché. I thought it was a joke in the film the Birdcage when Robin Williams character Armand Goldman pretended to be the cultural attaché to Greece. (He did have fine china plates with Greek boys playing leapfrog.) For being a good little editor, Stengel will spend his time, as long as we wants to stay in the position, flying around the world in first class or private jets, staying at five star hotels and attending parties all on the taxpayers dime.
Charity For Me Myself and I
Word on the street is that Tina Brown is out as editor of the Daily Beast. No worries Tina, you are a lefty, a member of the establishment, and the mainstream media. Translation: You have a job for life. You are too big to fail according the axis of evil! In the meantime you can continue running your faux charity, throw parties and drink cosmopolitans. Charity is big business and big fun for the members of our axis of evil. They love attending charity functions and better yet having one of their own. Time and time again I look into these various organizations and find the same nonsense. They raise a ton of money, spend most of it raising more of it and give next to nothing to the people or institution they are claiming to help. For example: Tina Brown’s charity raised $1.2 million by throwing swanky parties, they gave in grant money a lousy $10,000. Even charity in the world of the establishment elites is nothing but an illusion.
While discussing the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial the brain trust on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, contributor (when I say contributor, it is because they are ever vigilant in contributing nothing of substance to the national discourse) Thomas Roberts told another contributor, Mike Barnicle, that his kids “have hit the American trifecta of privilege,” because they are “white, straight males.” Roberts went on, “if you are another in this country and that means if you are LGBT, if you are Hispanic, if you are black, if you are a woman, right now, we are fighting to prove why other is not bad and why we are due the value of American rights.” Roberts later in the day called for MSNBC and other networks to embark on what he described as an “I am other agenda and have a forum for it, because others need to unite to talk about this and figure out where we are going as a country.”
Let me answer that for you Thomas…to hell!
Why? Because of narcissistic half-wit media boobs like yourself who wish to divide the country and create controversy and stir up trouble where there isn’t any.
Second Person Without Sin
No surprise here, coming from Mr. tingle up his leg Chris Matthews, Barrack Obama is perfect. In a conversation on air with Peter Beinhart Matthews stated, “I mean he’s raised, his whole life has been crystal clear and clean as a whistle and transparent. We know his life through his excellent education he’s had. The good pro-bono work he’s done through his life. He’s never been a moneygrubber. He’s never done anything wrong in his life, legally ethically whatever.”
I hear Obama is getting post- presidency offers from Las Vegas. He is being asked to do a daily show at the Bellagio Hotel where he will walk across the fountain without getting his pants wet.
All In The Family
Ever wonder why certain relevant, important stories seem to get ignored and trivial nonsense gets all the attention. Well…
The coverage of the Benghazi hearings this past summer was sporadic and incompetent at best. As it turns out CNN’s deputy bureau chief, Virginia Moseley just so happens to be married to Hillary Clinton’s deputy when she was Secretary of State, Tom Nides. CBS News President David Rhodes and ABC News President Ben Sherwood, both of them have siblings that not only work at the White House, that not only work for President Obama, they are hard at work on foreign policy issues directly related to Benghazi.
In this case David Rhodes was the point man in the revisionist history debacle surrounding the White House Benghazi talking points. “We must make sure that the talking points reflect all agency equities, including those of the State Department, and we don’t want to undermine the FBI investigation. We thus will work through the talking points tomorrow at the Deputies Committee meeting.” After the meeting, all references to al Qaeda and security warnings prior to the attack magically disappeared.
Beyond Ron Burgundy
Many things over the past several years have been blamed on Global Warming, it’s too hot, it’s too cold, too much rain, too little rain. In fact, kids today might want to use Global Warming as alternative to the old “dog ate my homework excuse.” To illustrate once again how stupid many of these network anchors are I give you CNN anchor Deb Feyerick. She was interviewing Bill Nye, the self-proclaimed science guy. She was talking to Bill about so-called extreme weather conditions like blizzards and hurricanes (they say extreme because according to the media they did not exist prior to the year 2000) and how they are occurring because of man-made climate change. She then asked Bill about an asteroid. “Talk about something else that’s falling from the sky and that is an asteroid. What’s coming our way? Is this an effect of, perhaps, global warming or is this some meteoric occasion?”
Meteoric occasion, I bet late 60’s rock stars such as Tommy James, Donovan or the 5th Dimension wish they thought of that one. It would of made a great name for one of their albums.
“A really efficient totalitarian state would be one which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned, in present –day totalitarian state, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and school teachers.”
